Something Wicked Comes This Way Knight Combat Khukuri

I was going to try to get over and handle it, but it went out the door too quick. Great looking piece. Looks kinda organic.

Sorry Bobby this had to go to Paul for leather and then it is heading to the Gathering in vegas. I will be rolling Knight and Bagwell to the big Tactical show. :D

Joe, Jason and Paul indeed did excellent work. Looks like a really good khuk rig there. Sorry your post got locked at the HI Cantina. See if you can sneak a heads up there after you've given it a work out. Congratulations to you all...Jason, Paul and Joe.
Thanks buddy I was only trying to give you Kuk guys the heads up the custom forum is kinda my home forum but I really like the HI forum
It looks like a very nice custom blade. This forum is where it belongs. Any reviews of it should probably go in this thread or in the knife reviews and testing forum. I hated to have to lock the cantina thread, but posting the same topic in several forums is not allowed. Also the posting of others wares in the H.I. manufacturers forum, which includes the Cantina is not something we want to encourage. I hope you all understand.

JParanee,

What a beast! It looks fantastic, so does the sheath. I'm sure there will lots of interest in that one.

no problem the link served it's purpose. Sorry for any inconvience

What an outstanding piece, congratulations to everyone involved. I've loved the Kuk/Parang shape for years.

Warning - what follows is a completely irrelevant and non knife-related point of correction...

The phrase comes from a line from Shakespeare's Macbeth which reads By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes. Not 'comes this way'. The "something wicked" refers to the title character.

As you were. ;)

Yesss.... We wants the preciousssss.....

That is certainly the coolest Kukri/kopis/falcatta/etc... I have ever seen. Actually, I think it breathes new life into an ancient and evil weapon... Love the subtle differences that make it a custom knight.

Nice job Jason. I don't even have to ask how it performs. I know it's BAD!

Great boots on it too.

Congrats Joe.

"glows blue in the presence of Orcs". Adam, I'd like to see your rendition of a similar blade. So, why don't you get on that! Miss you brother

It definitely has the "BEASTLY FERRARI" thing going on that Jason is oh so talented at creating.

Jason is one of my heroes.

Joe, what I really dig about your taste in blades is they all made to be used. Enjoy it!

you guys wanted A REVIEW so here it is

have not done any hard chopping or camp like duties but what I have done is some simple cutting and manipulateing the blade.

I know what IMHO what the best in the world Fighting Bowies feel like and this knife does not handle like the best fighting Bowie what it does do is transend the worlds between proper fighting bowie and Khukuri

Let me explain a Khukuri suffers the same problems a Tomahawk suffers if you over swing or miss your target game over you have exposed yourself and left yourself open and as Bill Bagwell said to me a Khukuri will get you killed in a knife fight

Bill wrote a great article on Khukuri's he said they where great sentry removal weapons and devastating in the right hands plenty of pwer but there nemises was the same as a proper fighting hawk a devastating one shot kill weapon but very hard to change direction and if you are matched with an opponent with a fast handleing fighting Bowie if you do not score right awat your chances lesson as time goes on.

Does Jason's khukuri handle like the very best fighting Bowies made today. No. But his Khukuri comes close and if you score quickly this thing will hit harder than any Bowie out there and out handle any Kukuri I have felt or seen.

if you are looking for the ultimate Camp kuk tell Jason to leave out the fullers and put more weight in it

if you are looking for a Khukurui to crawl behind enemy lines and in one swift motion cut a pair of boot laces in a trench and cut someones head off with look no further

Jason is IMHO the king of the Combat Khukuri

Does Jason have an e-mail address?
For people live outside USA yet still want to order a knife from him, phone contact probably is not the best way to get hold of him.

Thanks!
I think Jason needs no one to remind him what a good friend you are.

Here is the second prototype mine being the first

This one is also forged W 2 and as you can see it is what I would call a stick tang or hidden tang even though it is a hefty one inch or so at the front.

This one will not have the fullers

These are the first 2 protos and have been long spoken for.

out of the ten that Jason will make 4 have been spoken for so that makes only 6 available slots so if you are interested you better speak up he just got a very large commission in from Wilson Combat so another run of these will be unlikely.

I will try and keep this thread up to date with further pics
