Fixed blade, Folder, Dagger, ANYTHING.. I know I seem a little crazy right now but I just hate it when I can't find a knife.

There is no “the knife”. It’s a moving target.

^ Most underrated post of the century. This is so true.

So many knives I thought I would want I now just am meh about. Both ones I bought and ones I didn’t.
Naw, I'm not nearly that smart. I am however, that cheap. For example Just sold one of the most recent 'the knife' because I never ended up carrying it (BRK mini-bushcrafter, it became an albatross in the knife box for a lot of reasons), and another one might go that way soon. Going to order a sheepsfoot Caribbean and a Native salt when it drops, then decide which stays, with my para 3, another "the knife", on the potential hit list. I'll lynch-clip the para, roll those for a few weeks, and probably re-home two of them. I really want to like the Caribbean, but I've had a native, and liked it better than I do the para (though I like the compression lock better)
I'll also likely try to get a lil' native compression and see if I like it better than my dragonfly (which I also rarely carry) and do the same, rehome one or the other. Trouble is I can't just EDC anything with a lock without a reason, but I'm tempted by the idea of the lil native slippy. I think the only knife that I've been super excited to get which turned out to get as much carry as I thought it would is my Vic Pioneer x. More $$ does not make more :):)

I guess you haven't seen my Neil Schutte dagger...and I plan to buy more knives just like it.

I really want knives with great edge retention because I SUCK at sharpening, the few knives ive I have sharpened have muti micro bevels.
Spend your $100 on some good sharpening gear and learn how to use it well . This will make your whole knife experience more happy and wonderful ,because they'll all be SHARP !:thumbsup::thumbsup:

The Katsu titanium framelock is the “most” knife I have ever gotten for 100$. Just be warned it is a big knife with a very thin slicey tip.

Well... in my experience one will never find "the knife" unless you choose it to be so or unless you make it yourself or have it made by a blacksmith that understands you 100%. That being said, there will always be new models, new steels, new manufacturers, etc. Your taste will also change with the years. For example, circa 2011-2013 my ideal knife was a Tanto point which I can't stand nowadays. When I thought I had found "the knife" for me I ultimately started finding flaws. I had a custom knife made which I thought would be the ultimate knife and I still found flaws despite the fact that the blacksmith followed my instructions to the dot. So, first of all appreciate what you have and sort out your priorities. If 100 is your limit maybe you need NOT to spend on knives but save money. If you save you can get something better.

Now if you still wish to get something to quench your knife thirst, I recommend you look at some European knives. I have seem some cool knives within your budget for the following brands:

From Spain:

Aitor
Muela
Joker

From Italy:

Maserin
Fox Knives or FKMD

From Finland:

Marttinni

From Germany:

Puma
Linder
Boker
Eickhorn

You may find knives of all these brands online at your price range. Most of my knives are in that price range anyways. I'll post specific examples later if you're interested. I've got a few since I was also looking for "the knife" until I decided I had enough. Now I buy knives mostly for practical purposes althought I've also bought some because of videogame or movie hypes. For example, because they are coming up with a pretty cool WW2 themed videogame called Battlefield V I got myself a Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife and a Linder Pathfinder which is a replica of a WW2 era Fahrtenmesser. As far as practical purposes, I listened to the youtubers, went to gearbest and bought about $100 worth of knives from them. Mostly from the Sanrenmu brand. I gave most of them away keeping only 3 for myself. Mind you, I did not give them away because I didn't like them. They are very good quality. I gave them away because that is mostly what I bought them for. To give out as gifts for coworkers and people I appreciate. Among those 3 I've found a Sanrenmu 7094 to be the best $15 or so dollars I've ever invested on a knife out of the hundreds I've previously spent. Most useful knife. Not that it is "The knife".

If you haven't already acquired one try a rat 1 in d2 and save the rest for a 6/8 inch dmt coarse/fine and any of the spyderco ceramics.

I love the LT wright Patriot.
Nice one... What do you think of their Next Gen--small, versatile, great edc or a small outdoors knife. I have one--used it quite a bit, and found it really well suited for most everyday knife tasks. If we're talking folders, a CS Recon 1 is a great all-arounder.

Otherwise, "the knife"--for me--cost me more than 100 beans.

I already have A usmc Kabar spyderco pm2 gerber ghost strike Kabar kukri shrade sc90b bestech sword fish and some knife a bought of ebay for 15 bucks (not my best idea)

Since he's already got all these, he's covered for large fixed blades, and the pm2 is likely in the top 5 lightest & most useful edc folders. Hard to add something which is 'missing' to the list... He'll just need to spin his wheels on the sellers forum here & knife websites until something speaks to him.

G'luck and let us know what you end up with

One of the special order Buck 110's for either Copper&Clad or SKblades.
You won't be disappointed in adding a robust 110 to your collection. Once I finally did I only wondered why it took me so long to do so.

Another option is look around for a nice traditional, Schatt and Morgan or even a GEC for right around $100 or less and give yourself a taste of something a bit different...
You can use google-fu or check gec's authorized dealers page for a few different ideas of places to look who may not be BF site supporting dealers, but still reputable per the manufacturer.

Get a kershaw link or dividend in m390 and an Ontario rat 2 in D2. That’s $100 right there, they usually come sharp, and by they time they need sharpening hopefully you will have acquired this skill. Good luck!!
