You are just fine! These looked great and we had a good time talking to Southern Grind at Blade Show. They are telling us these will be shipping soon but we have not gotten a shipping notice as of yet. I will update on here when we know they are on there way to us.

Always loved the design of the bigger brotjet.
 
I have been somewhat so-so on the Bad Monkey, but the Spider Monkey is impressive. A more premium blade steel, nicely executed carbon fiber, and at a reasonable price point.

I just hope they make a version with the Emerson Wave again. Still not crazy about the mini-clip, but that is easily remedied.
 
I just got my spider monkey back today from SG (also got it at blade show). Had to get it flipped for left hand carry and im glad I did LOL. tis mah new edc...squee!

I agree on both points...Ive owned 3 badmonkeys (still got my 1st one) and always loved the wave. Although the clip is kinda growing on me, i may end up purchasing another emerson clip.

Oh no, I did not need another knife to buy, but damn thats everything I like in one package from one of my favorite brands...
 
Totally awesome there are still some non-flippers coming out. :)

I've carried it for about two weeks in the evenings after work. I'm trending back toward my sebenza now though and am considering letting this one go somewhere it will get more use. It's an awesome little blade though. It's a real slicer.
 
Great, something else to take what little money I have.....

Have a Bad Monkey and it's just a tad too big, I can see one of these in my future.
 
The CF and black coated blade version is now on Southern Grinds website. I will wait for the uncoated version, hopefully that is coming soon.
 
The UPS man just dropped one off at my door. Sometimes when you purchase knives sight unseen you end up underwhelmed, a few meet your expectations and a few leave you pleasantly surprised. The Spider Monkey left me pleasantly surprised. Amazing fit and finish and the in hand feel is great! If you're on the fence, get one...
 
I talked with some folks at Southern Grind today. They are saying about another week until they can get them shipped to us. They are taking their time to make sure everything is perfect so the big release on these goes very smoothly. With news like that I am willing to wait a bit longer. I will update here as soon as we get a tracking number from them!

This....... I got really excited about this until I saw they did away with the wave on this model.

Give me one with a wave, and I'm all over it!
 
What's weird though is I thought they said they would ship to dealers first to make sure they had a chance to sell before they put up on their website for direct sales. Protecting dealers or something. Not a big deal to me but I bet some dealers would be mad.
