rjd: I appreciate your opinion. I didn't leave it a sticky and just close the thread because I wanted discussion on it. I repeatedly asked people to post any information contradicting any claim I made. I wanted to hear other people's opinions on the matter, and to see if I was just reading things wrong. Unfortunately after 70+ pages, there wasn't a single solid rebuttal, no new information posted, and a whole lot of attacks & misdirection. I closed it after a week.

I didn't start this thread. I didn't start the Cold Steel thread that preceded mine. I didn't start the Maxpedition Boycott thread, or the "Lick my sack!" thread, or the ones on Tactical Forums. I didn't force Mick Strider to make combat claims, or claims about killing dudes, or charging people armed with a knife, or that he has PTSD.

All I did was collect the information I could find, and put it in one place. The facts speak for themselves.

I've contacted Linc German as well. He wont commit to ANY of the other BS related to this garbage until the investigation is complete, but he states, for the record, Mick WAS a Ranger.

If you dont know who Linc is, then that means you are not NEARLY as interested or invested in the truth as I am.

Pownetwork.org is still getting their ducks in order on this investigation. Please don't hold any discrepancies that they havent cleared up against them.... (i sound like a friggen turncoat with that last sentance, huh?)

by definition, opinions are biased. his house, he gets to post his take. what is his great power? the power of persuasion? the power to post his opinion?

he addressed and continues to address all those who disagree. what more can one ask?

Disappointing, I know.

I was fortunate enough to work on Steve Tarani's projects with the Strider guys, and as such, have been exposed to their background, business practices, production practices, and, ultimately, their friendships.

There are TWO guys involved in this company. I know that's not a convenient thing to contemplate right now, but it is the truth.

I've been impressed with Mr. Striders dealings, accross the board. I'm sorry if that's not very interesting or glamous.

How did this thread become about Strider? THIS THREAD is ABOUT SPARK.

Remember how we kept being told to stay on topic in that thread? Same rule should apply here.

This is about the motives of Spark in starting and governing over that sad thread for days.

You either think his motives were pure and justified or you don't. The Evidence against Strider is not the TOPIC OF THIS THREAD.

It is my opinion that a rational reasonable person would have to be motivated beyond the nebulous " for the good of the community" to expend the time and resources Spark did in the Thread about Strider.

Please note there are no personal attacks or insults here beyond what is needed to address the topic of this thread.

For what its worth I think Like Member "boats", Spark is probably a decent guy and will at some point want to distance himself from this. He might even understand the damage he has done to himself, this forum and Friends of Strider, the Strider employees and family's and yes even Strider himself.

I would hope that people that can not stay on topic will not muddy up this thread.

No disrespect to Spark is intended here, I simply disagree with what he has done and have used this venue to express it. Hopefully in a reasonable way.

Hope no one minds my opinion, but the whole "Ops this/Ops that" extreme gayness has really turned me off to knives as a hobby. I cannot and will not comment on the one gentleman in question especially because my experience with him was in the upper tier of outstanding customer service (along with his extremely kind attention to detail), but I'll speak of others in the extreme wannabe community who do the entire knife industry a massive disservice. I'm speaking from the heart as a legitimate hasbeen, but I'm speechless from some of the treatment from the neverbeen community. Very poor form if you ask me and quite embarrassing.
