Sparkling Smile is a big knife, or it could be....

David, any plan to add a fuller or would that be an add-on? Not sure if it would be needed for balance.

I don't know what this means.
5160 or 8670 come to mind. AEB-L is my first choice, but you said it wasn’t available in Canada in .25 thickness. Maybe other steels are available? Just trying to find a way to make this happen without requiring a large upfront expenditure on your part.

My knife making process does not include hollow grinds. Fullers are hollow grinds.

I already determined that’s a dead end with Canadian suppliers

However, I just did more leg work. Even though none of the sites list sheets in stock, I called a supplier I haven't used yet, and the owner and I chatted for 20 minutes. Turns out this supplier gets his steel from New Jersey Steel Baron, like I have been these past couple years, and has full 15" x 48" sheets in inventory. At this time he only has 3/16", but he said he's got some 1/4" on order. He also told me that he was a waterjet, AND does heat treating!

He's a one man operation, so he can't give volume discount pricing on heat treatment like the industrial scale of Peters Heat Treating allows, which might affect the price per knife to some degree. But since he is a one stop shop in Canada the uncertainty of potential customs fees is eliminated.

I'm going to send him the design for a quote in 3/16", and 1/4" and see what he says.

this look like it will be a great run. come on guys get on board. almost all Canadian made, and that's kinda cool. pricing is pricing is pricing, but sure need a third Canadian partner to make some leather sheaths for it.....

im in for the awesome clip point. if pricing gets easier on the wallet i might go for 2 of them.

Sorry I meant double handle.
