Hey Haebbie...

What Maverick said...
I meant that BM#10 thought he was being clever when he said for you to send him your knife and you replied that you would, but only if he sent the case with all the other knives back to you. He must've been surprised ( ). I thought that was funny :D

So much for my using smilies as hieroglyphics :foot:

Thanks for the translation Mav  Where ya been anyway?

Goose.
BCCI 1190

Mav...I'm not fishing but knew you weren't talking about me when you wrote " valid a respected frequenter of these here forums ". I think BuckMan wants to adopt you now ;)

Yeah I have been around... but in the Uk its been the 6 week holidays... which means that the kids play Tumblebugs on the pc so means Dad will get booted off the pc.

Also been away with my Dad for a bit too... oh and on the Knife budget thing. I just may have a new job which will pay for S***lods of Buck knives... I plan on doing my fix of 5-10 per month or 3 a week - whichever the missus agrees with LOL :D

Hi Trax Mine all appear to just be brown? or some shade of brown they do vary a little.
<talking about Buck 119 spacer color>

I got the eBay "119^" in today...I had to take a strong light and a magnifying glass, but the spacers at both ends are brown...and have some kind of latticework within them...Micarta???

Here's a pic of the spacers, 1.5 Gamma corrected...I think you can see the brown...

Looking at the 120 [bottom], it also has the [dark] brown spacers...but I hadn't noticed before, it has an extra spacer at the pommel, on the other side of the aluminum spacer, next to the black phenolic resin...what's up with that???

I like Trax's definition better! :D It just fits non-knife related fondling better.

Red fiber spacers, the two spacer at the pommel is older.

Yes, the 120 is pre-86; the 119 is an 88...but is there any special reason for the extra spacer??? It doesn't show up except on close examination...unless these "red" spacers really darken with time...were they much lighter when new???

O.K. if I were to give a better description that is how I would describe the spacers!
As far as the 2 at the pommel end Buck did that ?????? I dont know!
I do know they did it for awhile until they realized it wasnt neccessary and you couldn't hardly see them anyway!

Fondled…petted, touched with affection (either appropriate or inappropriate) often associated with ogling, mooning, and post-pubescent rolling and tumbling. This knife must have been much loved.

buckman, where in your Collection is the just now available frintiersman with the stag-handle? I only want to take your knives when ist is completed with the 1000 pieces limited edition stag handle 124 Frontiersman. Alternative solution: you retain the knives until you have bought the antler edition. Is that a proposal?

:D ;) :) :) :)

Haebbie

Hey dont worry mate...

In the UK a propsal is marriage too... as well as a business propsoal or an idea.

hi haebbie no , no deal :D but i do have that one and it is in the case now but i dont care for it and it doesnt fit the case worth a s@@t
this pic was taken a while back before i had the new one i have the klinkkhammer on the way also but it is the same handle as this new one , they are the same as the 119 not like the old 124's at all

((switch off kidding))

Buckman, a Question: How did you make the cutouts in the Foam on the Ground of your Box? The case looks very welldone and I think to make anything like this.
