Special Buck 119 special

thanks scott
thats where i made the mistake , i thought the nemo had the black micarta , but it makes sense they would have the phenolic handle for use in water eh ?
so now that you say that i have never seen one for sale with the pommel hole and black phenolic hadle but i have seen at least three with the micarta handle (black) theis red micata one i have is the only one i have seen so far
the box it came in is marked frontiersman bone 124bc

That's a good idea, buckman, I send you the white one, you'll have a look, and then you send me the complete collecton back, so that I'm able to complete the collection further on. Do you agree?

As promised here a Pic of the white-handle-124:

Herbert

I'm very sorry, but when I wanted to start the Scan, the pink towel was just in use and my Doughter didn't give it to me for the scan.
:-(

I would like to see a closer pic of the 124 handle.

Yep I did ,I am trying to determine if it is Corian or micarta.
the micarta yellowed with age more than the Corian.
A close up will let me see the grain in the micarta as the corian is smooth.

Hey Haebbie...

What Maverick said...
I meant that BM#10 thought he was being clever when he said for you to send him your knife and you replied that you would, but only if he sent the case with all the other knives back to you. He must've been surprised ( ). I thought that was funny :D

So much for my using smilies as hieroglyphics :foot:

Thanks for the translation Mav  Where ya been anyway?

Goose.
BCCI 1190

Mav...I'm not fishing but knew you weren't talking about me when you wrote " valid a respected frequenter of these here forums ". I think BuckMan wants to adopt you now ;)

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't want to drive someones heart-beat-frequenzy in unusual high regions,

:D :jerkit: :D   ;) :)

but I made another scan of the 124-Handle.

Is that picture sharp enough, if not, Evil Eye Earl, I can send you a High definition picture by mail.

Yes please send me an email.
Does the handle have waves in it like black micarta?

No, there are no Lines in it. There is no cotton in it, it would be a solid plastic.

If I find your email, I send you a pic.

Herbert

If it is smooth then it is aged Corian.....that is the deepest yellow corian 124that I have seen.
Micarta white turns golden yellow with handling and age.
I have a pic somewhere.

Evil Eye Earl said:
Yep.....Corian,must have been fondled a lot, to get that golden hue or left in the light.

Sorry, Sirs, for my horrible English, but what the hell ist fondled? I didn't find it neither in my mind nor in the dictionary. Please help me back on the way.

The knive has daylight behind a door of a cupboard, made of glass, but no sunlight. It was as dark as it is, when I got it. But the sheet-side is a little bit lighter. May be it got a lot of sun in its youth.
