I have seen the spey shape as in this Schrade referred to as a "double-hipped" spey blade. The only advantage to it that I see is that is makes the nail nick behind it more accessible, which in turn makes for a less protuding and more comfortable sheepfoot in the closed position.

While we are at it. I had a new spey delivered today. Not in the best shape but I like it all the same. Keen Kutter. My second spey with a shield. Not sure of the age. Gonna have to dig in the books a little. Nice snap and I’m happy to add it to the collection. It is very similar to the western spey that I have. Took a comparison photo of the Western, Remington, and Keen Kutter.

I have always been a huge fan of the rabbit skinner. I think it is one of the coolest patterns. Those two are wonderful.

I know them well. They are glorious. My favorite being the Clip and Spey TC. When I finally land it I’m going to stare at it for hours in amazement .

Got two new speys to report. First one is not a knife per se but is an amazing rogue gift from my friend Joefairbanks . Ken found a cool S&M Spey blade and turned it into a sweet keychain. How cool is that!!! Thanks my friend. This really made my day.

Next is an awesome waynorth sfo. GEC 154113 Days Work Barlow. What a perfect pocket knife. Charlie has always had his finger on the pulse of us knifaholics. This is such an amazing knife. I am blessed to be able to own it.
