Spyderco Bushcraft Update

At a savings of 2/3 off, even if the scales fell off, you could rehandle for a fraction. This is a heck of a deal. My 2 cents.

Thanks for the wonderful deal Sal. Hate that it turned out this way. Toyota is going thru much the same crap. Buy something from a vendor and basically bend over and take the fallout. Sheesh. Well, this is a knife that there's NO WAY I would have bought at full retail (or even "street" price) as I don't see the "there" there. I don't understand UK bushcraft and I don't really care about it. But an O1 blade for this money? With a leather sheath? And Spyderco's QC? Puleeze! I'm OWNING this baby! Thanks much for the spectacular deal. :)

Maybe I'm just not understanding how minor the issue is, but why would you still want to pay $90 for knife if the handles are 95% likely to crack??? I mean we're still taking 90 bucks here. Also, what about all of the people that already bought one for full price, then had the handles crack?
$90 bucks means different things to different folks. I think that it represents a bargain, and I bought one.
The blade is the main thing, and that is not effected. I can always put some epoxy on the handle if it is an issue.

That got to be the most expensive second bush-craft knife in the world.

90 Dollars is allot of money for a knife with 01 steel and cracked handles.

Its almost the price of some customs.

You will be hard pressed to find a custom finished out as well as this(yes some cracks in the handles) for $90 bucks.

I just bought one.Great knife for a heck of a deal.I have no problem re-handling mine should any problems arise.
I'm sorry this had to work out this way for the makers but the way they handled it makes a Spyderco guy out of me for sure.

Dang... wish I didn't read that! :o Killer deal though

I know what you mean, i really like the looks of it but im really trying to save money over this deployment :(

now that im getting married i have to start being financially responsible which sucks :D

You know I am kidding! ;)

Besides - when you have a female skater who can capture a medal right after a family death - that is CANADA tough!

TF

a very tragic death at that

and as for the thread i would love to be able to hold one of these to see how wonderful it feels

No offense, but I paid more than twice that for my BRKT Aurora (A2 steel), and it was worth every cent. You could probably pick one of these up and have it rehandled for less than what I paid for my Aurora. It'd be worth it.

Now for MSRP of $299? That's too much. Hell you can get a Busse Boss Street for less.

I tried to let this one go. I am still not a convert to the scandi grind, I have plenty of knives in the same size range, the list of why I don't need it goes on...

Then I see Spooky's video showing it from all angles. Damn, that handle looks comfy...

I have always liked Spyderco, great knives and company...

90 bucks? O1? Nice sheath? Fixable handle?

Long story short, just got the email confirmation that mine shipped :)
