Spyderco Fakes & Knock Offs Info

Ok guys...i got hit! Fake Sprint Military rescue orange. This thing a real scary..."real" looking scary.
 
Second sign..the lettering in thicker...i put a real sprint side by side. And you can see the belly of the blade. The real one has a square Vs. the fake one slants off. Weight on the fake one is obviously heavier.

Best way to tell is the belly of blade. Real one is square/flat , fake on just slants off.

Man it's getting scary buying from eBay I am so new to collecting I am afraid to get taken. Where else should I stay away from? Oh and what models should I be leary about.

the only way i can tell is by looking at the words while closed. in my really genuine ti millie and a "genuine-looking" g-10 digical millie, i can see part of the 'e' and then 'rco' at the top, and and part of the '3' and then '0v' at the bottom.

but yes, the butt of the choil is different.

The knife in your link is to a para 2 not a military. Looks like the para is a blade swap. Funny no mention of that in his ad.
 
Today I got my new Spyderco Caly 3.5. Something about it doesn't seem right. The CF scale doesn't feel like my Caly 3. The laminated line is too close to the edge unlike my Caly 3. I know no two laminated edges look the same but this one just seems off. Any clues?

Doubtful it's a knock-off. Just wouldn't be profitable enough to copy a laminated 3.5.

That's not a military.. Just checked his for sale items and it looks like he doesn't have it listed. With the fakes looking as good as they do sometimes people don't even know. Hell after looking at your pics.. its barely noticeable.
 
Did you not leave him feedback? He is a neutral for selling a counterfeit item early this year.
