Spyderco Fakes & Knock Offs Info

Man I wish there was a way to worn these people bidding for this scumbags stuff!!! I've put in multiple claims to eBay about him selling counterfeit stuff and he is still allowed to sell it!!!

Save yourself the time and anguish. eBay doesn't care when individuals report items.

I'm not so sure about that. They have swatted people via reports I have sent in the past and sent me thank you notes for the report. They are probably overwhelmed by all the scammers out there now days.
As "somebody" pointed out to me, it's just best to buy a medium to high end knife from a reputable dealer. ;)

Years of experience reporting fakes. The only one that can have an effect is Spyderco themselves via eBay's VeRO program to which they already belong.

The bottom line is eBay just doesn't care because if a item gets sold regardless of whether it's authentic or not they collect their fee.

Okay, good to know.

Well, today I got my refund for the fake pm2 and I believe the jack ass was removed from eBay because it appears he all of a sudden has nothing for sale anymore!! Good riddance to another scum bag

Good to hear you got your money back, and that the slime ball is gone! :)

Yup, looks like he is shut don't. Rycen is probably right unfortunately. It had nothing to do with us reporting him but rather the headache of returns for them.

I've reported the same knife six days straight.....just to watch it run its full duration.

I once had a guy use 6 of MY photos that I ran a little over a month prior to sell a Spyderco Karambit out of Israel.

I had several people from eBay on the telephone in regard to it.....they did nothing.

I found a listing two weeks ago that was using a photo of a knife from one of my active listings (at that time). I reported it to eBay and talked with a rep on the phone. I was told that action would be taken against the seller, but the listing remained until the knife sold (with my pic on display).

Hello, I received this yesterday. The box was scratched up and one of the corners was torn up but the barcode label does check out. According to the date stamp it was manufactured 9/14. The knife was also obviously used and handled; the G10 was stained/discolored on one side.
Everything else checks out but the wording and sigs on the blade are really 'off' compared to all the pics I've seen. I'm 99.4% sure this is the real deal but I'd rather be 100% certain. Also, it does have slight side-to-side play and the detent is particularly strong which may be why it was returned in the first place. Neither of those really bother me tho'.

I don't know if you are coming back to check this but that looks legit. Jimping is angled backwards and the lock cut out is smooth.

If the lanyard hole liner is chamfered and the clip screws had little to no shoulder then I would agree it's legit.

BUT ... the only thing that bothers me is location of the funky E symbol between the blade hole and the scale. From the pics, it looks too close to the handle and not centered between the scale and hole. Could just be the pics' angles/lighting.

Yeah, and it is my understanding that those placement things can vary a bit. I don't think the smoothness around the lock varies much and I sure don't think the rear angled jimping varies at all. Those are the best tell tail signs IMO.

I don't know if this has been posted before but I just noticed something on the AliEx-press site Report Intelectual property theft. Bet they could get busy.

Also on one of the Brad Southard flippers the Spyderco Edge-U-Cation sheet has several typo's and mistakes. The one on the Wu Ruilian Store - a friend of a friend bought one.
