Spyderco Gayle Bradley 2

Great shots!!!

Please tell me you didn't cut those acid filled goodness with the new GB2?!?!

What oil cloth do I need? I need to bite the bullet and just using my original.

I use mineral oil from the pharmacy section of the grocery store. Put some on a rag and wipe the blade down. These aren't collector pieces. Use it !

Just got my 2 and both are absolutely awesome!!

Best buy of the year at this price!

Thanks! Going now!

Knife outlet has them as well - @$134 - anyone ever bought from them?

never bought from them..... website looks very basic.

go with whoever you want..... NGK is a GREAT retailer. You will love the GB2!

I got mine yesterday. The liner is indeed thinner than the GB1 and it is even harder for me to close as access to the liner seems more difficult than the GB1. It is difficult to get my thumb nail on the liner.

All in all, it is still a very fine knife.

Congrats to all the new owners...and great pics!

Does it still have that feeling/heft of being a tank/tough knife?

I suppose I should do another fly by on the GB2, but honestly it didn't have the tank-like feel of the original at all to me. I also found the unlock to be more difficult, primarily due to the extremely late lockup the one I handled exhibited.

I prefer the liner lock on my GB2, however I didn't own a GB1 just tried it in the store and passed based on the way it felt in the hand and the lock access. The GB2 'feels' much much better in the hand to me and the lock is easily disengaged with the pad on either thumb.

I did indeed. I enjoy using all my Spyderco, and my other CPM M4 knives all show a great patina. The blade stained very quickly as M4 will do.

I tried to grab one and they weren't in stock :-/ missed it.

I don't mind a patina - in fact I prefer it's black protective appearance. As soon as I find another good source I'll snag one and leave my non stamped GB1 alone in the safe and use this one.

Short on time, but I snapped a few comparison and nudie shots. This one is a winner for sure! Liners are about .5mm thinner than the GB1, still plenty thick at 1.3mm.
Still don't understand why the original had to be discontinued, but way to go on this one spyderco crew!

Very smooth action by the way, similar to the original. And since I just recieved this air in for a rescale, a full family photo:
