The blade looks like a banana; I haven't quite made up my mind on this one.. had a tenacious and didn't like it plus there are so many other knives coming out to save money for!

Its on my list but I have yet to preorder it. I miss my tenacious so hopefully this will fill the void...and then some.

THEY ALL LOOK THE EXACT SAME!

Seriously 4.25 inch blade = no carrying in my state.....5.4 oz for a spyderco...heavy. Not sure on that steel...

Actually they don't all look the same. The blade length isn't a problem in my state thankfully. The weight isn't really an issue either, what else would one expect for a knife this size? Personally, I do not really care much for this line of budget knives. The steel is decent for those on a tight budget, you get a whole lot of knife for the money no doubt. This would never kick the Military out of my pocket.

So, it's basically a larger addition to the Tenacious/Persistence family, right? Are you sure it's not 8CR13MOV?

Yeah if you look at the pic that's whats on the blade.

I have a persistence which the metal has held up surprisingly well, so has the knife.. and for the $28 I spent on this thing.. I'd buy another in a heart beat..

for the money the persistence rocks, the tenacious may just be a tad to big for me to carry edc..

this metal is good guys, I've had no issues at all. very easy to maintain the edge..

i will be buying one,i really like the tenacious and im sure i will like this one just as much

Spyderco hit it out of the park on this one if the F&F are as good as the Tenacious - for about $40 a G-10, drilled out SS lined 4 1/4 incher c'mon!

I only hope the detent is solid.

That Chinese steel will cut your finger just as well as S30V. :D

Made the correction, the steel is 8Cr13Mov steel i just copied and pasted from knife center. Sorry for the mix up.

I won't buy one. I'm a big Spyderco fan, but I have no use for a bigger Tenacious. I like the Tenacious, it's a pretty decent knife for the price. I thought I would use it more, though. I keep reaching for something else most of the time. I still haven't been able to warm up to anything with "China" on the blade, it might be stupid but it just doesn't feel right to me.

No, the "Made in China" label is a deal breaker for me. Roll your eyes all you want, but practically everyone shops at Wal-Mart, where practically everything is made in China. Keep it up and the only jobs left in America will be Wal-Mart and McDonald's.

We understand your concerns with China. We also understand that thre are many in America that want inexpensive Chinese made goods. That's why we make knives in the US and other areas.

I've tried the 8Cr13MoV alloy and find it acceptable.
I find the quality excellent.
I find the pricepoint excellent.

But, there are American-made Spydercos that I will buy instead.
