Spyderco vs Benhcmade

yeah, i posted on the spyderco forum that it'd be better to not further feed him for the troll that he is, yet somehow i like to discuss the matter and/or take actions.....(am i that 'vigilant'??).

anyway, i sure hope the guy gets busted for all he did. as to quote the south park guys: "that'd be a hoot and a holler!" :)

Vinny returned the knife to us....literally took 5 seconds to remove the mysterious burr.....told him we would return it our OUR expense, but he then claimed the knife was "used" since we removed the burr. I credited him full amount, even covering shipping both ways. Told him to go away....but, damn, MaryBeth processed a 204MF order for him this AM. Will be interesting to see if he says he "never got it". If that is the case, I will ask my webguy (ex-police officer) to see if Vinnys local authorities see a case for fraud based on these forum posts. This kid has some serious social issues.

Maybe you could post in TGB&U and warn the other dealers. He might try buying from the gold members and scamming them too.

Good Lord, can we kill this thread already?? It has nothing to do with either Spyderco or Benchmade, but rather the miserable schemes of a freaking troll.

Hi All-

It's kind of like a lion or tiger playing with its prey before going in for the kill. We're essentially laughing at Vinny77 now, and there is nothing that amateur can do about it. The previous restraint shown by people on the thread trying to help him, despite his rudeness, was heartening. What a gentle bunch here.

The fact that he has published his unlawful intentions on the Internet makes it even sweeter that those records can be shared with law enforcement. Triangulate via the IP addresses, hosts, postal records, serial numbers, and vendor shipping data and put it all together to build a case. Hopefully the iPod folks will want to share/compare their experiences with this scammer.

It's been a fun read. Perhaps one of the moderators could change the title or even create a category for "classic troll threads" just for laughs!

I am new but wasted an hour of my life on this *******. Reading about him. But if you read what Michael Dye said. The Knife really did have a Burr on it. And maybe he really did think it was “Defective” as he would say.

So Dennis or Denn was wrong. But this kid really is an *******; I hate you before I even registered.

Glad to meet you Frank, welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy it here, lot's of good folks who are glad to share info, and occasional ribbing. :)

Don't take any of it too serious though.

Regards,

Thomas Zinn

you spend an hour reading all that as a new member, and then manage to conclude that:

- you can accuse me of being wrong?
- his 'defect' might be real?
- you can curse on the general blade discussion forum?

better pay more attention and read all of it again and get your info straight, read the forum rules, and check out the whine&cheese forum.

i hate to say this to a potential new forum member, but you definitely remind of the aforementioned little rascal. no offense, but this isn't usually a good way to start off on a forum.

yep, it's him alright or a copycat.

funny also how he constantly keeps an eye on this thread to jump right on the replies he gets. he's been 'observing' this thread a little to closely to be an "innocent new member"...

register with a new name, jump on a hot thread, put some phony details in his profile, type different, check spelling and grammar,....

almost had me there vinny77 or wannabee-vinny. last thing period i'm saying about this whole sad story.
