Good morning Lady's and Gent's,
I am a little fired up today for good reason. It's has been 18 years since My Beloved San Francisco 49ers won our 5th Superbowl.1994 was a good year for me and as a Young Buck of 22 years of age I remember the likes of Steve Young ,Jerry Rice, Ken Norton Jr., and 'Prime Time' 'Neon Deion' Sanders.I can still reminisce of how life then was for me and the world has changed in so many ways since then.Today I have a lot to be grateful for as I am still married to the same beautiful woman that I met so many years ago in 1994 the Year of the San Francisco 49ers five time Superbowl champions. So I am going to celebrate today because life has treated my fairly since my beloved 49ers were representing 'My City By the Bay' and birthplace in the Superbowl. If They win today and I can assure you I have cut myself many times and I do bleed the 49ers color, then you will see a grown man cry with tears of happiness.Everyone please have a very happy and safe Superbowl Sunday.......

Go 49ers!

Hey everyone,
I am seriously wanting a Fluted Ti Military, I have found a few dealers that are taking Pre-orders, I thought it was gone for good but now I'm not so sure, Is Spyderco actually producing more?
Thanks for your help!!
Joseph

Yes, they are, but they look different. They have a much more blue look to them, so if you are expecting the subtle multi-color look you will be surprised.

Thank you for answering my question, I don't mind the blue color or the original version.
I just love the look of the scales.

Being a Vikings fan, I just want to see Randy Moss get a ring

Anyone that doesn't have a Chokwe needs to at least try one out.
Seriously.

Sorry to hear the Ravens beat you SK.

My likes in knives are becoming much more refined and simple.

It's so hard to get to the SB, what a letdown. Salmonkiller, I haven't said anything about the Niners since I don't care to share my sports interests on BF too much but yeah, I'm born and raised in the Bay Area... This one is gonna burn for a long time. We never lost a SB till now. Time to pop in one of my 5 SuperBowl winning DVD's.

I finally know how my relatives in Buffalo feel.I am very proud and I think we will have more chances down the road. It's been a long time and the last couple of years were amazing, but the better team won on Sunday. The Niners played lights out after the kick return at the start of the second half. Should have fed #21 the ball with less than 2 minutes left.I have not been so fired up in quite some years. All Good..Close but no cigar!

Let's talk about a collaborative knife that was designed by a gentleman that hails from our Union's 50th State.I believe there is a blue G10 version that should hit the streets sometime in 2013.I owned the original version of this knife and opened many letters and Amazon boxes with it.This was the little silver knife that traveled around my vehicle in the glove box when not in my pocket.I purchased this knife for my wife , but I liked the little bugger so much she never saw it again.I recently sold it off because I want to upgrade and focus on some more recent models. What do you guys think about the up coming blue version?what will the price point be?How many will be produced?Do you think a TI version will ever be released?

A ti version would be cool
There's to be 1200 made and it cost $150 from BQ I think it's over priced........maby I'll get one used.

Since the originals in all stainless went around $80 all those years ago (MSRP$109.95), $150 for a G-10 version doesn't sound that bad. The new construction will require more machining, which means higher production cost, and materials costs certainly haven't gone down. Trying to recoup any new tooling costs with a 1200 piece run can't be easy.

I agree. It's definately NOT the best all around EDC knife, but it feels great in the hand and the action is smooth as butter.

I am glad to hear this, I have one on the way. The slimness of the handle and the blade shape intrigued me. I also have a thing for frame locks.

I just bought a Techno... Excitement level: Through the roof. Freakin sweet little blade.

I hope you like it, I handled one when it first came out, and really disliked it. Not to mention how thick it is.

Yeah, I never handled one before. Wanted one for awhile now though, I think its got a lot going for it. I prefer bigger blades but I got a separate rotation that I edc to bring to my work consisting of smaller blades. Should fit right in.

I think I prefer the BM755 to the Techno, but the Techno is lighter if that matters to you. Both have great steels if you are into stout folders.I think I prefer a little longer blade on stout knifes. I have to say that I am more excited about the 0801 than both the Techno and and BM 755.Give the Techno a try and let us know how it works for you..Do you guys think Spyderco will ever release an assisted knife ?

The Techno is an awesome little knife.
It's thick, beefy, but an awesome slicer.
The all ti is nice and doesn't feel too slick.
The darker full stonewash really compliments it.
CTS-XHP is also a great steel.
I like how it has a lanyard hole AND wire clip(models with wire clips don't usually have a lanyard hole).
The Blue Backspacer actually looks nice as well(just the perfect amount of contrast) and feels nice in the hand.

Overall I think you'll like it.

SK I'm super excited about the Blue Lava and really want to try one out. Blue is my favorite color and I've always adored the overall design of the Lava.

As far as the Chokwe not being a good all around EDC - I highly disagree. The blade thickness is enough to make a nice slicer but handle the majority of EDC tasks. The curve at the tip makes it a little more pointy but also more robust I do believe.
The wharncliffe makes easy tasks of boxes and other things. With being a good slicer it's good for food if you so choose to use it for that.

I think it's a good EDC, comfortable in the hand(excellent ergos), action is like butter, takes a great edge, it's really a good knife.
No knife could beat it for me, and then I got a Sebenza. Lol.

However, I really hope Spyderco doesn't come out with an assisted knife. They've kind of done their own thing but staying with mostly manuals and no flippers.
It kind of divides them from the mainstream.

I think it's nice that they finally did a couple of flippers because it does add more variety, and the Autos are nice too. Variety is a good thing, but Spyderco already has the whole knife thing figured out so that they don't really need to add a whole new "cool" feature, their smooth and solid designs speak for themselves.

You also don't really need the spring assist to open a knife just as fast and effectively.
