This guy has had the knife for months? Must really like it. Did anyone read the second post regarding the upstanding member from Denmark who was given the often repeated "second chance". The leopard can't hide his spots.

ive had the knife for a week. not months. and yea i dont have any money. 100% of my time go's into school and my music. i dont have time for a job. im 15 years old , why does everyone expect me to have a job??! back off. and your right this is a bunch of BS. i appoligized what more do you people want from me? im only human. im just gonna leave the forums. i give up.
 
Why is a 15 year old signing up for a knife passaround to begin with?? I know DaveH requires you to be at least 18 years of age or older. :confused:
 
Thanks for the support guy's! I guess a little respect didn't go a long way. I have never been called a A$$HOLE or any other name on these forums and you can bet I wont tolerate that.I truly expected a few more of you showing a little more support for me as I have NEVER shown anything but respect for ALL of you.It is rediculous that a 15 year old boy can move freely in and out of these forums and no one finds that threatening.There should be some type of block on minors so they may not enter auto sales forums or other forums that might not be appropriate,maybe an icon by their name so it is know that they are a minor.If my accesment or outlook of a certain situation is not quite on target I would hope that a few of you who know me would tell me in a supporting way. COUGAR you know I have always respected you and I had hoped you respected me as well.

The age limit for joining Bladeforums is 13 (determined by the US Congress in the COPPA). We don't ban members for being teenagers.

We don't ban members for being slow to answer emails or slow to get a knife in the mail either -- at least we haven't yet.

There is a rule against personal attacks on this website, and although we understand that here in TGB&U people sometimes get excited and forget that, and we try to allow some slack in this forum, a number of people in this thread are in danger of running out of slack. That includes you, SpyderPunk. Just because other people behave childishly is no reason for you to do it too.

I would rather not close this thread; I would prefer to leave it open so when the knife arrives whoever SpyderPunk is sending it to can post that it arrived (or that it didn't, as the case may be). I can't see any reason for any further posts on this until then, though.

Spyderpunk wouldnt be "underage" at bladeforums.

OK! This is the first knife supplied by Spyderco to the members of bladeforums for the purpose of a passaround. There are two parts to read and understand. And no I do not/did not receive any money for doing the signup and coordination.

The knife is a Temperance fixed blade with sheath.

He did not have it for months, he has had it roughly for a week, but I believe it may have sat a week or more at the PO before being picked up.

Yes, actually, in the temperence signup thread I did specifically mention as a rule you needed to be considered an adult in your jurisdiction. I will in the future specifically state a certain age in years.

I think 13 is the limit of BF, I could be wrong.

I'm not sure what you want from everyone other than to say "I support you" - I do.

Spyderpunk was on my ignore list before and is back on it again. If he doesn't have the money to send the knife back (or if it was even in doubt) then he never should have gotten in on it. If he can't pay attention and check his mail (wherever he had the passaround sent)then he shouldn't have participated.

His reaction this time is the same as before - something goes wrong, he has excuses, someone tells him that's not acceptable and his attacks and profanity start again. I've heard the "just one more chance" a number of times already. I guess a number of people here haven't heard it enough times yet.

If some decide to give him "one more chance" I just hope it isn't on another passaround. If these don't work properly I can see DaveH and Spyderco just dropping the whole idea.

If someone decides to give him "one more chance" on a trade or purchase, at least it's only at their own risk.
 
SpyderPunk, I don't know you from Spiderman, but your actions have shown me what kind of pond scum you are. You have insulted a man of the highest caliber possible, a man whose actions are beyond reproach, a man who is known and trusted by everyone in the knife community here at BF. They don't come ANY better than Mike aka masterchef. Your insults toward Mike have probably cost you more possible friendships than your childish personal behavior has. Do yourself a favor and take your own advice..... just leave the forums. Do us all a favor and don't come back.
 
He insulted me 1st, ive dont nothing to him but try to be his friend, Am i just supposed to let him walk all over me? No, i wont do that, he talks about respect alot but i dont see any here?. Ive said it a million times and ill say it again, im not here to start anything or Rob anyone, im trying to be honest and a good person at the forums. im doing my best.
 
Just found this thread and must say that Masterchef is correct in what he is saying. Like the rest I respect Mike and call him my friend even though we have never met face to face. This forum is no place for a 15 year old boy to be insulting long standing members. With the restrictive laws we have today and the liberal courts that interpet these laws the last thing you need is a minor on board who apparently has unencumbered access to a computer and an excuse for EVERY thing he does. Away of identifying those people who are under-age is a great idea. When I make a sale the profile is the first place I look. It always bums me to find no information and I have backed out of a sale before because I suspected the buyer was a minor. I am calling anyone under the age of 18 a minor in this case.

Bottom line Masterchef, I'm with you bud!!

Masterchef is not walking all over you, he's angry with you and has a right to be, so relax yourself.

After reading this thread and for the reasons already mentioned, you simply should not be allowed to participate in any further transactions on this forum.

Make good on this deal so you can at least maintain your posting privileges, that's better than nothing.

Gentlebeings, there seems to be a great deal of confusion here. Several people seem to have misunderstood "SP hasn't been around for some months" to mean he kept the passaround knife for months. That is a misunderstanding; he didn't. If you reread the thread you will see that.

I'm always asking everybody to just tell us the facts.... I've seen a great deal of flaming in this thread (the worst of which was edited later; thank you for that), but the only facts that have come out are that it took several days to get in touch with SpyderPunk, and that several people dislike him.

If anybody has another fact to post, please do.

In the absence of other facts, all I can tell you is we do not ban members because they're out of touch for a couple of days, and we do not ban members because some other members dislike them -- oh, and one more thing: we do not ban members for being teenagers. Thus all the calls for banning SpyderPunk are completely inappropriate, unless someone knows of some fact he hasn't posted.

A number of members have posted some very inappropriate personal attacks in this thread. The worst of them were edited by the member who posted them after he calmed down, so that's forgivable. SpyderPunk responded to some of those personal attacks before they were edited, and that's forgivable too.

Gentlebeings, why don't you all try to calm down and think about whether you have any facts to post. If you do, post them. If you don't, don't.
