Don't give up on this POS, or he wins.
If it is illegal for him to possess such a knife as a minor, and his parents knowingly allow him to keep it, maybe a call to the Florida DCFS is in order. With the bad PR the DCFS garnered recently for losing that kid, I'm sure they'd be all over this. Let's see, child endangerment, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, neglect, use of a minor in a fraudulent act, aiding and abetting, ect. Maybe they'd find a good home for him.

In case anybody didn't notice, I banned Spyder Punk when I posted last. (Maybe that thumbs-down was too subtle.) The argument is over; Spyder Punk is banned from Bladeforums and DaveH is taking action to recover the knife. My prediction is the local police will send a uniform to ask the family what this is all about and they'll respond by going to the post office and sending the knife, and that'll be the end of it. It might do the kid good to spend a night or two in jail, might help him finally realize choices have consequences, but I don't think that's going to happen this time.

DaveH will post the news as soon as he has any to post, in a new thread if I end up driving a stake through this one's heart. I'm not in a hurry to do that now, though; let's see if it winds down and comes to rest naturally.

We're always glad to see a new confused face around here! Sorry you came in the middle of this "food fight" -- overwhelmingly, as you can see looking down the list of threads, our transactions are a lot more fun than this one.

A "passaround" is an item, generally a knife, that we sign up to evaluate (play with :)) and then send on to the next person on the list. I'm sure DaveH can help you; he's experienced at this.
