SpyderPunk - Use caution

Great IDEA!! :D :D
But someone else is going to have to start it. I couldn't stand to part with mine. It's the voices; you understand.

Spyder Punk, just take your responsibilities seriously. Don't think that you should be allowed the luxury of rectifying this situation at your leisure. The fact that everyone in your family was working last Saturday means that unless you all work, or go to school six days a week, that someone had a day off during the week and could have mailed the knife then.

By the way Spyder Punk, you don't need to be banned. All you need to do is to never come back here again. If you have come to hate this place so much, that would seem to be the best solution. Even if you do this, make sure you send Dave back his knife. There are legal actions that Dave could take against you if he so wishes, so live up your obligations.

Dave, I am not sure if eighteen is the legal age to purchase a knife in all states, but I suggest that you make it a requirement from this point forward that anyone wanting to get in on a passaround be of age. If some states have a minimum age of nineteen, or whatever, then make that the minimum age for anyone to get involved in one of your passarounds. Also, get anyone that wants to take part to send you an email stating that they are of age and that they will not hold you responsible for any injuries that they may get from the use of the knife.

This may seem like a pain, but to me at least I would have no problem supplying providing such an email. I would be after all, getting the privilege of trying this knife and should therefore be willing to provide whatever guaranties that the person sending out the knife requires. If not, then tough luck, I just won't be able to take part in the passaround.

Well mr Keith did you know that its illegal for mr.daveh to supply a minor with a weapon in the state of florida, a fixed blade, i wouldnt be the one getting introuble, he would. and after the way he spoke to my mother last night maybe i shouldnt send his knife back "im going to call every day untill i get my knife back" he told me it wasnt even his. we'll see how things go on around here and maybe ill send it back. you'll get it when im damn well ready to send it.

DaveH, I got some friends that owe me a favor down at NAS Pensacola, if you don't get your knife soon, Drop me a line with Spyder Pus's address and we will get it back one way or another

Keith & DaveH> Although the min age restriction is a good thing, as well as a waiver of rights due to injury by said knife, it's not always best.

If you have access to a list of states listed by "adult" age(18 to what 21?), have each person in the passaround send a copy of thier photo-ID. Gov't and police love info.

LEO equipment is often sold online, but only after a copy of thier ID and badge number is made available(and a subsequent call to the station/location). Positive ID, AS WELL as a waiver(including an agreement to replace said knife in the event of loss or theft) would really limit the bunch taking part, but would guarentee loss prevention.

Many people, such as myself, enjoy both particapating and reading the passarounds, as it offers insight as to the knife. If it wasn't for the salsa passaround I wouldn't have 2 for myself. I thought the knife ugly before, and now I love it. The blade looks dwarfed and fat, but works. I got to see that, for simply the cost of mailing it on.

Passarounds should continue to go on, but take the nessasary means to avoid too many problems such as this one. Proper ID and available funds should be manditory. If they can't pay, they shouldn't play.

It goes from "it will be sent tomorrow" to "maybe/maybe not". Like I said before, you can't hide your spots leopard. I'm all for the group hug and a big round of "let's give him another chance " . Whatta ya say fellas? It was never about the money.

It's been 2 weeks since DaveH contacted SP. It's been 1 week since SP apologized and said it would be sent. Now it still hasn't been sent. He threatens not to send it. AND ITS ALL OUR FAULT!!

SP has proven the heading of this thread accurate!!!

Maybe he'll soon take the actions necessary to try and change things around. I don't know about Florida, but I can go to a Walmart in Northern Michigan and send a parcel by UPS - 18 hours a day, 7 days a week!!!

Actually Mr. Spyder Punk, youd be the one getting in trouble.

It was your understanding that to be part of this pass around you have to be of legal age.

By agreeing to the passaround you were claiming that you were of legal age.

He has all the right to be upset with you, and agreeing to the passaround meant that you were going to pass it on, not keep it.

You made an agreement, your obligated to follow threw with it.

Yup, its the old it someone elses fault act. .

As stated earlier the boy learned from the best....his folks.

And yes, my Dad would have kicked my ass up around shoulder blade level for conduct several steps removed from SP's. To tell the truth about the matter, if the boy is a thief, which it does appear that way, he won't return the knife regardless of the efforts here. Thiefs generaly have many excuses to justify thier behavior. He obviously has zero self respect, and is not capable yet of generating the repect of others.

SP, You are the one that needs a life, remenber you came to this forum, the folks here took you at your word, the forum did not come looking for you.

As I stated before the Kurt Cobain thing is telling

Does this mean that I'm not getting a foil hat?

Man, I hate everyone for making me, um, hate them.

Whew.

Let's be careful people. It's people like these that keep the lawyers employed. A minor can not legally enter into a contract (aka agreement) so don't go there as grounds. And please no threats, real or implied of coercion. He has no obligations.

If there is a lesson to be learned, next time send a condom with the knife, if you get screwed again hopefully it'll be protected sex.

SP you sure live up to the "Punk" part of your name.

One of these days someone's going to give you a spanking too.

You give kids a bad name.

Pierre

PS: Crybaby.

Well Spyder Punk, I guess we all know what kind of a person you are now. People like you are not wanted in the knife community. We prefer people that are honest and ethical. You obviously are neither.

It probably goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway.

In all my phone calls to SP's mom as well as email to SP, I have conducted myself in a courteous and professional manner.

In no way did I treat your mom badly.

And as an aside, I myself have been late in passing things on. However I was proactive and took the responsibility of letting people know and acknowledging it was my fault.

This is sad. Why do we feel we are the ones that need to defend our conduct and actions? I'd suspect most of the contributors to this thread are long time members, who have demonstrated their moral character and need no defending.

I personally have never doubted the integrity or actions of anyone here, except our dear Mr. Punk.

So get off the guilt trip. We ARE the injured party.

I guess if we are guilty of anything, it's giving this POS the proverbial inch.

DaveH, IMHO it's time to turn this over to the proper authorities. Here's a url for you: http://www.usps.com/postalinspectors/

Also contact his local police.

Please, no wagering on who gets to him first....
