SpyderPunk - Use caution

Isn't there any member of these forums who is living near SP and can go to his domicile to retrieve this knife? Or maybe a police officer?

Parants that just do not care about how there kids grow up or what they do is most of whats wrong with the generation that is comeing into adulthood right now.
It seems as though SPs parants don't really care if he does the right thing or not.
If it was my son that done this the knife would be shipped back as soon as I found out and I sure could find some things for him to do to pay back the shipping.

That's a pretty BROAD statement to make. Not ALL parents are failures.

Also, you said if you were a parent and you KNEW about this....................maybe SpyderPUNKS's parents are not aware and someone should be calling them to inform them.

if it were my kid, he would be in JAIL!!!!!!!!!

I didn't mean all but it seems to be more and more all the time.
What brought on that responce was the fact that it was supposed to have been shipped back by his mom and wasn't,she said there was no time and now it in his fathers lap with him sending it this week end.
Seems like his parrants aren't much more responseable than he is.

I think Dave spoke with the kids mother. If I understood correctly, SP stated that his mom would send the knife today after she was paid. However, reading Dave's earlier post regarding a conversation with SP's mother.

Anyway she said "his father" will send it this weekend, I asked why wasn't it sent last weekend like she said, and the reply was "There wasn't time".

I am starting to understand where this kid gets his MO from. Sounds like the whole family is dysfunctional.

Dave, one idea and will not help get knife back faster, maybe ask the parents if they intend to send the knife back. If it is truly a question of money, explain that there are folks that would extend the effort to help(as difficult as it seems to understand, there are people that don't have 10 spare bucks in their pocket or a car to get to the post office). I realize that this does not help SP or his "parents" take any responsibility for the kid or his actions, but it might just get the knife back, and that in spite of the cries for blood, jail, Hostage Rescue Team intervention is the objective.

I had hoped that this was resolved yesterday. Sadly, it is not. It is unbelievable to me that an entire family is going through a melt down here

.45acp:

Yeah, I definitely need to call and explain the whole thing and that my goal is just to get the knife back.

And if it is truly a question of money I'd send it. Well I'll try this evening and see what happens.

Kind of sound like you may as well kiss the knife goodbye.

Hopefully you can get it back though.

If (and thats a big IF) its just a matter of money, I think if you sent your money it would just be tossing it into a black hole...you'll be out knife and cash.

What about having him send it COD?

If indeed mama and papa punk are aware of the situation, then it does not sound like they are any more interested in doing the right thing than junior.

Sad...how many of you guys would have gotten a complete a$$ beating from your parents if you pulled this kind of crap. I know I would have!!!

Well now we know, the person at fault is no longer SP, it's his Mom (here after referred to as SPM). WOW, I didn't see that coming! No wait, it's not the fault of SPM, the blame falls squarely on the shoulders of SPF. By next Monday, it'll be George's fault for giving tax breaks to the rich (disregard the fact that they pay the BULK of the taxes collected). So I'm afraid if you want the knife back, you'd better start writing the prez.;)

Let's see a show of hands, how many think he, SP, or for that matter SPM or SPF, still have the knife?

Apples don't fall far from the tree.

All I can say is wow. I'm not into trading or pass-arounds (yet). So I apologize for sticking my $.02 where it's not needed.

If I ever did this to someone and my father found out, I'd get a good backhand to the noggin' (and I'm 32  ) Let me make it clear, my father ONLY hit me when I wronged another.

What really made me post was the comment on the state of parenting in this day and age. The real problem is taxes. Allow 1 income to support a family. A lot of us older folk came from families where Dad worked and Mom stayed home. Mom usually taught us our morals. Today mom works too, so children are being raised by people who don't truley love them and the T.V. .

Just my opinion, and sorry for going political.

Aha, I knew it, it had to be George's, or at least the gov'ts, fault. High taxes force mom's to work, which leads to the downfall of the family.

It's certainly not the second SUV in the garage, the big house or the average, that's AVERAGE folks, $8,000 credit card balance owed in America, at 18% interest, that forces mom to work. My credit card balance is $0.00, which means somebody else owes $16,000 to make it avg. $8k.

It's not the 50% divorce rate that leads to single parent homes, it's not our self indulgence or poor fiscal reponsibility that's the problem, couldn't be, it HAS to be someone else's fault. How could we even think of blaming SP, SPM or SPF.

Dullone-

You took the words RIGHT out of my mouth.

I have a seven month old and a wife who left a six figure job to stay home and raise him.

No credit card debt, no SUV, no more big vacations, no indulgence in my hobbies (high-end audio and blades), but Tommy has Mom home all day.

I'll be rich in other ways. Glad to see someone else thinks along those lines.

Is there a hex on this thread? A supernatural radiation that compels the susceptible to post off-topic nonsense?

Gentlebeings, we are all waiting to hear that the knife arrived, or possibly that the knife didn't arrive and the authorities were notified. While we're waiting, we can go to the Political Arena right here at this website and discuss politics, or we can go to the Whine & Cheese forum and rant, or if we feel compelled to talk about something that wouldn't fit in either of those forums there's always Community Center....

u all need to shut the #### up because this is really starting to piss me off. you dont know a damn thing about how my family works, do u see me talking crap about urs? NO! so back off. And there wasnt time last weekend because everyone worked saturday. Your going to get the stupid knife back, and for the rest of you , you all need a life, you sit around on a damn Forum all time bitching and complaining about stupid knive's, get a life. and i hope i do get banned because i dont care anymore.

I wear a tinfoil hat that protects me from that nasty supernatural radiation stuff you were talking about.

Excuse me if I don't blame something/someone else for my ranting. I'm ranting solely to express my opinion. And in my opinion what I've expressed is relevant, as a lot of the people here seem to want to lay the blame ANYWHERE but where it truly belongs, at the feet of SP.

Let's all take reponsibility for our own actions. If we did, our country would be a lot less screwed up than it is. But of course that would lead to more unemployed lawyers, which would lead to higher unemployment payments, which would lead to higher taxes, which would lead to more moms having to work, which would lead to more screwed up kids like SP; kinda scarey ain't it.

Oh oh, now see what we've done it. We've PO'd SP. Now he has good reason not to return the knife. To teach us a lesson.

I think we owe him an apology. Can we get a group hug here?

I thought SP said he didn't have a job? Good to hear he got one last weekend.

I'm not up on the current youth lingo, can some one explain what "shut the pound sign pound sign pound sign pound sign up" means.
Is it some kind term of endearment?

BTW, can I say Curt Cobain sucks, oh I forgot, make that sucked; or should I save that for Whine and Cheese. Although GBU seems as good as anyplace.
