Guess we're not supposed to say, even though I only know one place to get them.

@vortex ... did you ever get the 08?

I haven't bought the EL08 yet. I'm still waiting for a discount...
I took some pics of the Leen and my slightly modded SRM 710 side by side:

I hope I could contribute better later, eventually with pictures, but Vortex is already there to provide great pictures. It is a little bit of his fault if I'm hooked to budget knives.![]()
I like the jimping and large stud, though it looks to poke past the frame.
How does it feel in comparison in your hand?
just got el01kh in the mail yesterday i knew that it would be a good quality buy in the computer for the three weeks to get here but i am still a little blown away with the quality i have much more expensive knives that have problems that are no where near any kind of issue with this knife. it will be very hard for me in the future not to buy another one especially at the price.
i work as a home health aid and my client is a knife collector long story short 15 minuets later and he is the proud owner of a rosewood el-01Do I have a bad influence really?
Yes it does but not further than the pivit screw.
The cut out is slightly bigger on the scale of the SRM 710 and it's closer to the blade. So the grip on the SRM 710 feels slightly more secure.
The EL01 is the absolute best buy!
i figured you guys would like to see a review i did of my 01 here is the link
http://kenshinsknifeplace.blogspot.com/
its was a major selling point for my client that i work with and i have also averaged it out to around that from just cruising the web
So you didn't test the hardness yourself?
well the information i got for the 01 was from ali express and exduct said that the 02 can be anywhere from 54 - 60 i think. oh and that reminds me the 02b review is up and waiting if your interested. please leave a comment if you want i like discussions it lets me know what people want to read. and thank you for the positive feed back its nice to finally do something that people will enjoy readingNot critical at all -- just want to understand what you wrote.
To avoid confusion like this, you might say what the source is, whether it is your own tests, or, as in this case, information you found elsewhere.
I just read a review of the Sog Salute with the same 8313CRMoV steel, which the reviewer says "can reach up to 61 on the Rockwell Scale."
Not sure where he gets his figures, either, but "can" doesn't make it so.
Don't worry and as for the pivots I suggest doing what I did cut slots in to them I also hope you found them entertainingThanks for the review of the 02b, Kevin. That is a lot of knife and, for most people, an excellent buy.
I'd be joining the chorus except that, within the last few days, the pivots on both of mine became so loose they are unusable. I don't have the proprietary tool for the older-style 02b and my makeshift tool no longer does the job.
People like me, who don't have the proper tools, should probably stick to standard pivot models. IMO, so should the manufacturers.
As you review more Chinese-designs, I hope that you continue to mention the issue of standard pivots.
