I took the plunge and ordered an EL-08 too. :)

:)

You'll like it.

One thing I noticed and reprofiled on all my Enlan's ... the edge.
I got a 2nd EL-08, grind was horrible, as bad as the Navy's.
My other nitpick is the pivot but got the tool, works fine.
And in all, if you look deep, they are dirty inside.

I keep a scuba tank with a nozzle nearby, gets the grit out.
Some RemOil, new edge, a polish, adjustment and nicey nice.

I just redid the Inron edge, edge is bent, took a hit, you could see the metal is warped.
Oiling it up some and feeling all the body edges ... they are so square I think they can cut you.
The only one "softened" is the actual frame lock.. where the cutout at the lock point, damn scary sharp.
Gonna need to file that all down.
Inron F&F is not even close to Enlan from the 1 knife I have.
Can it be fixed .. yes. Good thing I don't mind tinkering.

Um, tried?
Did you order the pivot tool with the EL-08 -- it's cheaper with the knife?

I managed to turn the pivot screw but that's not the ideal tool for such a task.
I've already had one of those triangle pivot tools. It came with my EL01D.

I hope so. :)

I reprofiled many of my budget folders because of the uneven grind lines near the tip of the blade too.

Yep, the sweep of the tip on the EL-08 they get wrong due to its design, and the heels seem to off as well in general on most.
A little work and your right as rain.

Anyone has info or pics of longer blade Navy k602? A side by side comparison would be helpful, with EL01, or k631.

Any other model with longer blade?

Have both. Will try to get a pic tomorrow up for you.
602 is a beast, too big for me, more of a camper.
I carry the EL-01 comfy.

Hopefully time tomorrow.

Edit: got all 3, will do a triple.

guys im very excited today i just ordered the navy k610 and k631 not but two hours ago i am extremely excited to get these things in i have had 440c steel based knives before and i love the steel does anyone own these to maybe give some pre-review first impressions?

K-631
EL-01
EL-08
K-602

Sorry for the crappy pics but had to do it on the fly.
Hope it helps.

Thanks! Yes it's huge (602). Am thinking to get it ... The only thing I don't like is the clip.

Have you compared the steel of the 8Cr (SRM/Enlan), 9Cr (EL08) abd '440C' (Navy)? Some commented Navy steel is actually 7Cr :(.

Here's just my 2 cents on all these.
Steel of today was the super steels of 5 - 10 years ago.
What they say I don't believe anyway.
I am yet to break any knife in 20+ years while I'm using my brain handling and utilizing a knife.

If I'm battening wood, I move to a different knife.
If its in my pocket, razor sharp is good enough, even if for a few weeks ... I have sharpeners.
My kitchen knives which get real use ... cutting bone etc ... get attention every few weeks.
Camping, different goal.
Box cutter, different goal.

:)

There are knives for slacks, knives for jeans, knives for work, knives for play, and knives for collecting.
All relevant.

They have several sized K60* series, just have to find them, from small to big.
For me, the 602 is an outdoor knife.

I'd carry the smaller ones if they have them or become available, I like the style.

A new model from Boker - Magnum: :D

For real?
Too funny.

See the edge towards the heel ... those tiny vertical lines, still trying to figure out why. One regrind I have to go high polish to get them out.

Soon, one big happy family :)

:) 31.95 euros = 40.2442 US dollars :)
