St. Patty's Day Give Away

The Dyed box elder, scandi blade with silver/nichol bosters with a machine finish on the blade. File work on the spine.

Thanks for the give a way Larry.

I like the black ash burl best. I'd put it on a Woodsman. It'd be sweet.

I would be happy with any of them! Ive wanted to make a traditional Puukko for long time, and if I won maybe it would motivate me to do it. Thanks!

I love the dyed box elder burl. If I won, I would use it on a wacky full tang kukri-like hybrid thingamawhatchit I've got bouncing around in my head. It would also be my first knife, which is terrifying to use such a gorgeous piece of handle material, but I'm a big fan of the concept "go big or go home".

Black Ash Burl

Two knives - a nice EDC knife and I also want to make myself some wood carving knives by stock removal from old straight razors. That burl would make beautiful handles.

Congrats on the post count larry! And thanks for the chance at those fine blocks!

I like all of them, but the walnut stands out due to my preference for darker woods. I would probably put it on a flat ground full tang knife, a do all knife with about a 4-5" blade.

Happy St. Patty's Day......

My wife picked a random # between 2 and 68 .............and the winner is

Congrats to Dan Pierson, and thank you all for offering your ideas. :D

Dan just need your mailing address to get these blocks out to you.

Thanks Larry

The wood came Friday is all prettier than in the pictures. As I told Larry privately, it'll be a while before anything shows up wearing these.

On the sunny side, my knife with the wood from Mark (Burl Source)'s first give away was finally glued up yesterday so I do eventually get things finished :o
