As usual, there's plenty of breathtaking, satisfying stag examples here today!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: But my "Pick of the Day" so far is Christian's knife, and I chose it more for the blades than for the stag. It has some nice "old school Euro stag", but the edges on those beautifully-patinaed blades are the stuff dreams are made of!! ;):cool::thumbsup::cool:

My contribution is the Colt canoe I've been toting (among other knives) this week:

I quite like the "convex" shape of the stag covers, thin in the middle and thicker at the ends. The grip feels quite comfortable and safe in hand:

Stag is so complex, that's why EVERY Saturday there are always fine examples on view. This thread is kind of self re-newing:cool:

The Lion might well be King of the Beasts but Stag is Emperor of the Handles :D Look no further than here for proof:thumbsup:

Jeff....

I’m sure you know the answer already....I can think of only three German manufacturers that use model numbers, Boker,Hen & Rooster and Carl Schlieper almost forgot Zwilling Henkels... this stockman is to refined to be a HR.....not the correct frame for a Boker...plus I recognize the model number on the tang...425..which means a 4 1/4 Carl Schlieper model
