Standard (Medium) Chopper or Lightweight: Which and Why?

I expect that these two new choppers design will not be in "collab" with L.A. but a "pure" CPK design like the HDMC and the Behemother.

The OG LC had a 9-7/8" blade and slightly different handle/scales than the OG 10" MC.

These two new choppers will both be 10" and will most likely have the same appearance/design but just different stock thickness.

They should also have the same scale design (interchangeable) as that of the OG MC and BC.

I like to think there's a little bit of me tainting all these choppy mofos!

Oh absolutely. There's a lot of different DNA in there but you're definitely a piece of the equation for everything we make. You're not a branch on the family tree, you're a root.

No, it’s a great baton for firewood. Just hit the spine with a rubber mallet instead of a hammer

Tough decision. In the end I went with LC, thin and hard, lengthwise satin, with Osage over Ironwood liners...

Osage and ironwood would be a pretty cool combination, I think. But maybe like an osage scale with a large ironwood medalian-like insert, or the other way around?

I’m sure that is purely subjective and dependent on the user. However I have a gray terotuf’d SDFK and it’s my grippest scaled knife.

To add to Cap’n Smudge list, I’d put G10 under micarta.

Terotuf is the best handle material for a chopper that I've used in that it is the most grippiest, and it's also the worst looking. So, win-win!

I went with LC as I had to sell my first one and that made me sad. It was a hell of a chopper, and I only used it a tiny bit. I’m hoping to use this one a ton more! Plus I have the fat chopper covered with a nice HDMC.
