The starter program is what was and is ongoing. you can order the knife up until it hits production and then they lock it down. The first knives that made it through the production cycle were the 5.1 and 4.7 knives around christmas. They held a brief "presale" for those who didn't order in time for the starter cutoff. I think it created some headaches though when some shop tools went down and some of the 3V 5.1's had a higher rate of blemishes than they expected. They have since moved to the monday sales model for the "extra" knives.

so for the 2.7, if you want one the likely path is:

Once all of the pre-order knives have been shipped, they will likely add the extra 2.7's that have been sharpened to the monday sales. They will sell out quickly since they are only selling what has been sharpened, but you will likely have a chance at one for a couple of weeks at least, maybe longer depending on popularity and excess stock.
 
i could not afford to pre order both the 3.5 and the 2.7 so I'm hoping i will luck out on a 2.7 on a monday sale! fingers crossed!
 
The 2.7 as neck knife is looking pretty comfortable! I'm curious how it will fit my pocket. Maybe a aftermarket taco style sheath?!
 
Quick quistion;
How would you all use your 2.7?

I will try to use it as a EDC knife which hopefully will fit my pocket with the original sheath or else a taco style sheath.

It is a taco style sheath, and should fit in your pocket if you don't wear skinny jeans.

These aren't quit out yet so I'm how everyone is gonna use it too. It looks like a great edc blade to replace a folder.
 
Awesome looking little blade! Was gonna jump on the necker 2, but that 2.7 looks great... More usable blade shape and handle for my edc uses!

As reading the last posts about the production schedule it wont take too long until the 2.7 is here :)
