Starvin' for Serpentines and Dog Leg Dreamin'

Here is a pair of knives I modified from a moose #66 that Charlie sent me. After I modified it to be a single blade serpentine, he ended up having to send it back for repair after the dyed interior stag scales shrunk due to the extreme climate change (south FL to west coast Canada). This time, I used materials that would prevent that from reoccurring: homemade red canvas composite and stabilized Tasmanian myrtle. Since Charlie named the first one the "mustang" jack, I figured that an appropriate name for the sister knife would be "Sally". So, without further ado, I present to you, Mustang and Sally:

There are some really gorgeous knives in this thread, especially the GEC's! I have a Queen carved stag bone.

Great thread title, and great work Evan, love the one you did for Charlie

I received this one from the man himself :)

22.30 here and nearly dark so this pic came out, er...but wanted to show 2 Tidioutes and a Northfield. Thanks, Will

Let's try a slightly better pic, but you get the idea. The 56 is not talked about enough in my view.

This may count. But it's a kind of sawn-off DL...Bulldog's version of a Teardrop Jack in what they claim is Cell (hope not and since it's from 2005 I doubt it is)

Thanks, Will

Here is probably my best example of this very shaply pattern. The main blade has been slightly shortened. The secondary blade is of stainless steel. Very pocketable.

I must learn to do more arty pictures .. regards ADEE

Lovely to see that beauty again ADEE  I have a similar Wostenholm, but sadly the blades are little more than nubs

Very satisfying to look at those New Rems of yours Ken Erickson! Like that wraparound spring and the handle material is foxing me, is it micarta or smooth bone? Looks fantastic whatever! The original advert appears to show Sabre ground blades, kind of surprises me. I do have a Schatt&M single blade Trapper that is sabre though. Must root it out and show it here.

Thanks, W

I love the grind on that bottom Remington. Very cool how the blade has so much belly in spite of the sabre grind. Edge is thin'n where the blade does the skin'n.
