Same handle girth as 102. Slightly longer handle than the 102 due to the extra thick micarta spacers. Smaller in girth and length than the 117.

Well, it encouraged me to buy a 117 - the standard 117- regular sized black phenolic handle, 420hc blade, same sheath, for less than 1/3 the price of this “stealth” model (for BCCI members). Regular handle, slightly lesser steel, but 1/3 the price… easy one!

If you are not a BCCI or pro member, its still half the price.

This one does nothing for me. They can't all be perfect releases for everyone. I'm still donating plasma to pay off the 110 Slim Pro TRX Oil Slick edition so my blood welcomes the opportunity to be able to regenerate this month. 🤣

I would like to see them deep discount past BOTM/Stealth releases that are still available online, like the 212 BOTM that still exists over a year now. It would be great to see them cut some discounts on premium knives for dedicated people on this forum and other online social media in addition to the locals that already have access to these discounts at the two factory sales every year (nothing against the locals, I'm just jealous they have the opportunity to attend the sales :)). Stealth Run #011 is another candidate.

Besides, if they leave the December 2024 212 BOTM in the BOTM section, we will have an oddball when we take the 2025 BOTM releases snapshot at the end of the year. :p

Eh, I see no point in this knife’s creation, other than DrMegabyte’s suggestion that it is a means to utilize some excess stock. Black phenolic and aluminum construction, standard on countless knives, and as a ‘bigger knife guy’ I have no interest in a downsized handle.

Having said that, in order to keep my stealth knife streak intact, I have one on order. Silly me.
 
I like the 117 so I ordered one right away but after reading this thread I hope I dont regret it. I hardly read the description and assumed the handle was black micarta as usual, oh well. It was gonna match with the 119 so well. I have been wanting to do another rehandle 😬

The 117 is dang near perfect - would the smaller handle be perfecter?

I carried a Western L48 in my teens and well into my twenties. Great knife, used it for everything - hunting, fishing, camping, kitchen.... Basically a 117 with a smaller handle. I have one Western 48 and five Buck 117s, three of which see regular use while the Western stays home.

My curiosity is driving the temptation. The 117 is one of my favorites and this is an interesting variation, AND its in Magnacut which Buck does VERY well.

What if the December BOTM is AWESOME? How much will the credit card hold before my Wife files for divorce? There's 15% off Customs right now and I NEED an Elk 55 to go with my 110 and 112 Customs. What if they sell out before I make up my mind? Yikes!!! Maybe if I drop a hint to the wife just in case she hasn't finished her Christmas shopping... Yup, that's the ticket.
