Oh, don’t play with my emotions that way!I just with they’d re-release the stacked leather Brahma 117 (and 119)… but with 5160 blades. I’d buy at least two of each.

So is the 102 handle a little longer on the 117 the it is on the original 102? Or is it an optical illusion in the picture? Because the L.L. Bean 102 handle looks a little fatter too with the stacked leatherI received mine yesterday. I have to admit that I like the handle more than I thought I would. I like my 102, but the handle has always felt tight to me. The 117 Brahama Woodsman handle gives just enough more room to feel better. It's still snug, but good.
I also think it's crying for a slim pouch-type sheath given the compact guard, but that's probably another discussion.

Yes, the 117 BW handle is a bit longer. The pommel angle is a bit more open, too. I don't know if it's width is typical for a 102, but it's definitely skinnier than the LLBean 102.So is the 102 handle a little longer on the 117 the it is on the original 102?
