Just out of curiosity, what size glove do you wear? And what’s wrong with magnacut? I mean vs 420HC.

I think I wear size 7 gloves, but am not positive.

As far as the blade goes I just prefer easy sharpen steels, Bucks 420HC holds an edge as well as I need a knife to while being very easy to sharpen with the products I have.

So glove size small, or youth large. That explains your love for the small ones and small handles.

Magnacut isn’t all that hard to sharpen. Really not bad at all - It’s no Rex121. The main difference is that magnacut will hold that edge much longer than 420HC. 420HC IS cheaper, so there’s that.

I may be mistaken on the number size because I definitely can't fit into a small glove , but no my hands aren't particularly large.

Ultimately it's really just that I don't demand enough of my carry knives for a 2-3 finger grip to bother me.
Packages and mail , string/ paracord, tape, food packaging, blister and clamshell packaging are all handled more than adequately.
Beyond that I've got various utility type knives all over the place for rough stuff.

The other big benefit of being magnacut instead of 420HC is the high level of corrosion resistance with magnetcut, while having decent edge retention and somewhat ease of sharpening even at RC 64

Just received mine today. I don't have huge hands (usually wear large gloves but they aren't tight). I do see how the handle feels too small, although it is usable. Sharp as heck, though.

I have a medium glove hand. I like the handle on the 102. I also like the blade on the 117 better for the stuff I do around the house.
It works for me like the 101. Hope this made sense.

I like the regular 117 handle better. This one might have to get customized. I have a stash of rosewood cutoffs from a local marimba company.
