OP, if you are/were a Marine I hope you didn't whine like than while in the Corps!

You missed a sale, get over it.

Now you can see why many small firms never discount their goods at all unless they're 'seconds'. Saves a lot of hassle and misunderstanding. I wonder what the reaction would have been had you paid full pop like the majority of buyers cheerfully do.

OP is a bum. He made a deal and now, spoiled child that he is, does not want to stick to it. He is the one to avoid at all cost.

Op failed I would not feel bad about losing him as a customer or the type of costumers he would bring along with him. Some people.

I was going to watch t.v. tonight, this looks like it will be a longggg running thread.
It looks like the op is going to have a hard time putting this genie back into the bottle.
I wonder how his threads are going in the other forums.
He better think of alternative gifts for his kids.

Yep.....had the OP acted like that (entitled) around me and mine while in the USMC, the responses would have been much less civil.

It's always very telling about a person when they somehow feel 'entitled' to more of something (a refund of $ in this particular case) than they truly 'deserve' and then try their best (without any success, I might add) to convince the whole world that he has a great deal of integrity, a sense and passion for fairness and has now been forever harmed while the other party can't ever seem to do the 'right' thing, therefore, not as 'good' a person as he.

See it all the time here and elsewhere......sad, very sad. But what's the most telling and the icing on the cake for me........that we're talking about a grand total of $23 that you initially thought was a steal of a deal until a better one surfaced. Not your call to determine when a business owner decides to have a sale nor what discount they choose to offer. Had that same knife been offered at a 50% discount 6 months after you bought it, would you have then expected him to honor that new price even if you hadn't taken the knife out of the box it was shipped in? I'm thinkin' you'd do exactly that.

Same deal here. You bought it for a good price....stop bitchin', being so vengeful and quit being so petty. What it really all boils down to......quit being so cheap.

Ridiculous on so many fronts that it actually hurts to know people like this roam the earth. What hurts even more is obviously he is used to being told yes or he wouldn't have the **** to request that in the first place.

Sucks he's just hit and running here, he's missing out on the embarrassment he's due.

Just shot Mr. Brous a link.

The only thing that the OP is doing, is destroying his chances at ever being a part of any forums. He's just going to make a bad example of himself everywhere he goes. Just another self entitled douche for the ignore list.

I would be seriously surprised if the OP's efforts to give negative publicity to Brous were well received on any forum.

USMC82.......

Added to my list of turds to never do a deal with (not that it matters, he is a one post whiner).

I am impressed with Jason Brous's reserved response. The fact that he was even able to respond with a pleasant response, and not incredulous insults speaks volumes about his restraint.

I know my response would have been decidedly less civil.

Obviously, the OP does not know what honest, honorable dealing is.

Wow, I think it had the reverse effect, this thread is going to bring him business. He has some great looking knives in great steel. For great price. I think it's the silent soldier series.

If anything its free advertising.
If it wasn't for this thread I never would have gone to the Brous site and discovered his sweet neck knives.
Cool designs, great steel at a very reasonable price.

I'm no lawyer but I doubt those confidential email signatures have any real teeth- the threat to defame in exchange for something of value on the other hand feels a lot closer to extortion?

Yes! The Silent Soldier series.
Good stuff.

I agree with you , and to point out another thing I am sick of these people either with the branch of service they served in in their name or people who love to talk about their service turning around and acting like an ass. If the OP is a Marine I will say what I said to another Veteran, being a Veteran and or Soldier means you conduct yourself in a higher standard than regular people. Are you better than anybody? No, but when you call yourself a Marine , Ranger , Army friggin cook, you represent that branch of the military, and to come on a forum and whine and moan over $23 bucks, wow, your a loser buddy, If you served with me it would be a blanket party at your bunk EVERY night. P.S. I'm a Vet. myself so I have no problem saying this, If you are a Marine your a disgrace.

A person buys an item and then the item goes on sale the next day (or two days later in your case). It happens all the time. Normally people feel temporarily bummed out at their luck and then move on. As someone else said, the seller has no obligation to retroactively discount your item. You simply missed the sale by a couple of days. You already got the knife at a discount, yet you're pissed enough about not getting a further discount that you decide to make vengeful posts at numerous forums intended to hurt Brous' business and reputation? Really? Wow! I don't know what else to say on the subject.

I think there are a list of things for an attorney to look at.
It seems that he has had a lot of practice bullying people around.
It looks like he came to the wrong place to practice his art.
