Pete no offense taken... it was a shot in the dark and if I were in your shoes I would do the same. The same goes with whatever crisis Steve may be going through is his personal business except for,the fact that he has dragged us into the mess by not fulfilling his,obligations compounded by the fact he took our money and retains possession of our property.

At first I felt that this was an abrupt departure from his normal business dealings except for the fact that you have been putting up with this situation since last year. Hang in their Pete you have handled this situation like a true gentleman and above average restraint.i truly hope paypal can resolve at least the money end of this mess for you.. I will be joining PayPal myself after my run in with Mr. ketchen my first experience with someone going dark.. except with the fiasco with Survive knives.
 
Well, his deadline for my knife has come and gone by 9 days. Multiple contact attempts have gone unanswered as of now.

Below is a paste of the last communication I had from him, July 30th.
Since then silence.

Hey Dave. This is the week I've been waiting for, wife and kids will be gone so I finally get some shop time. I have all day Thursday Friday to catch up so I'll do the bulk of your replacement scale then. Pieces are already cut and ready for gluing. I will update you Saturday morning.

I've gotten the exact same message, just cut out your name, paste in mine.

good luck...keep the pressure on...and DON'T let you PayPal claim window close before taking action if it continues to drag out...

When did you send him the job? <if you don't mind saying>
 
I'm hoping he gets back to normal as well. I had considered getting custom scales for one of my Spydercos and hadn't considered any other makers!
 
Steve has an Emerson Horseman of mine, I texted him yesterday he responded that he will be shipping on Monday.

I have been doing business with Steve for next to three years hopefully this is simply a rut in the road for him and he will repair the stellar reputation he has gained
 
Hanoverfiste when did you send your knife to Steve. Just curious if he doing work from the oldest to newest or just hit and miss.

Sorry if this is redundant forgot to hit reply. If you don't mind me asking, when did you send your knife to Steve.. just wondering if he is doing his work in order received or just Willy hilly. Thanks
 
This isn't really how one goes about earning redemption. It's nice you're all willing to go beyond a reasonable doubt to support this guy but this isn't the person you've dealt with in the past. There's a new reality and this isn't someone you should send money or products too.
 
Why do we feel so depressed about what could possibly good news... Pete still hasn't got his knives or money after being told his knives would ship on a certain day.. my emails haven't been answered to date.. am hoping you that have received a promise of shipping today do in fact get your notice.. excuse me if I don't hold my breath.. have lost all trust and faith in Steve.
