I don't have anything as nice or as old as some of the knives in this thread. I finally took 'em outside for a pic. They aren't much but they'll do until I can find some of that mythical "disposable income". ;)

They look just fine to me, Chris.

Me too. Good lookin' group of knives. Here's a '91 Cripple Creek 4" square end bolstered fella with hollow ground master blade. Notice the smaller etching on the master.

Chris,

Those are hard to find stock knives and you will not find them any longer these days so easy. Hang on to them my blade brother! :)

Here is one produced by 'Old Cuz' that used to brighten up the evening a bit when I went troll'n back in the day. ;) :) :D

This Shadley is my favorite and what I consider one of the best-made knives that I own. Feels perfect in the hand.

Boy I go away for a few days, and look what happens! A feast of beeyootyful stockmen lands here! It's indeed a great thread!

Tongueriver, that Rare stainless Schrade Cut Co, has this fool salivating!

Thanks guys. I do love the pattern. My next step is to add some real bone or stag to that pile. :)

There is one missing from the pic. I forgot to add Grandpas 8OT. Y'all know what they look like anyway ;).

Thanks again,
Chris

i've owned this one for quite a few years now. i beleive it's dated 73'. it has never touched a stone, never been polished and never carried.

With all these nice Stockmans, I really felt left out .... So with some advice from Blues and help from Knifeswapper, I just picked up my very own Eye Brand. I really like this knife.

Congrats, Greg. Looks like you got yourself a nice one! Enjoy it!

beautiful greg.... is that a 350 (3 1/2") or a 425 model?.... these popped up on my radar just a few days ago.

Keith, that's the full size stockman. (The smaller knife generally has less attractive and much stubbier scales.)

The one I just picked up was the 425 and at 4-1/4", it's a handful of Stockman. Now that I have it, I've got the 350 on my radar.

do you think the derlin would be more fitting so to speak?

keith

I've got the large version in both stag and synthetic. I think the synthetic scales (or something closer fitting than stag) would be (or would most likely be) a better choice for the smaller version.

This based upon my own observations and confirmation from my discussions with Mike Latham. YMMV, of course.
