Gorgeous! Any man would be proud to own those knives. You might want to throw that little 6333 SS in your pocket sometime. I bet you'll be surprised at what it can do! ;)

Nice set of stockmans sappyg! Not sure which one I like best. Maybe the red 6318. What year is that one?

thank you.... if i understand the dating correctly (3 dots) i think it would be a 97' from the pocketworn series. i haven't carried it in years but i just realized how comfortable it is.

I have one of those little guys that has seen a lot of duty. It's my go-to travel knife for when I have to fly and has been all over the place. I like it because its so easy to stash away in checked luggage. Even the most larcenous baggage handler would be hard-pressed to find one of those squirreled away in a pair of socks. And although you won't be field dressing a moose with it, it can do real work, much like a Peanut. My teenie weenie stockman has proven its worth to me on countless occasions. It's going to Korea with me again next week.

Keith - Do the airlines let that go through in the belly of the plane? I'm sure it can be seen when they run it through a scanner. Just wondering, I do not fly much any more.

I usually pack my Wave and a slipjoint in my shaving bag when I check luggage. The slipjoints usually one that wouldn't kill me if I lost it. There's never been a problem in theUS.

You can bring any knife you want on a plane, as long as you put it in your checked luggage. The problem with knives on planes isn't with security, it's with sticky fingers. Folks have knives stolen out of their checked luggage all the time. Just ask Ken Onion, who had over $100,000 worth of knives stolen out of his luggage on his way to a show a couple years ago. :barf: My Dad has had knives pilfered on several different occasions, as have some of my friends. I haven't had any knives stolen yet (knock on wood), but I'm very careful to hide them, and I never take anything big, flashy, expensive or with sentimental value.

Thieves watch the x-ray machines and look for stuff worth stealing, IMHO. If you have something stolen, there is basically nothing you can do about it. Very small knives in the bottom of your luggage, squirreled away inside something else seem to make it through just fine. My small Case stockman has been all over the US, to Switzerland, and back and forth to Korea six or seven times now. The potential loss of a relatively inexpensive knife is more than offset by the benefits of having a decent blade on my travels. In Korea, the only knives you can find are SAKs (and believe me, I have looked!)

The stockman is probably the most classic of the traditional patterns and is one of my faves, Wish I had more:D

really like this one

The stockman is my favorite pattern, honestly I haven't gone overboard, these are my edc's. I really don't have too many. My current edc is a 18 yr old, beat up 1992 vintage Queen that I rescued from a junk box at a local flea market a few weeks ago. Knife just takes a razor edge.

This one has blade and handle etch. Both of which I generally avoid but I'm really liking this one for some reason.
