Stockman roundup.. Lets see 'em...

The one I just picked up was the 425 and at 4-1/4", it's a handful of Stockman. Now that I have it, I've got the 350 on my radar.

I've got the large version in both stag and synthetic. I think the synthetic scales (or something closer fitting than stag) would be (or would most likely be) a better choice for the smaller version.

This based upon my own observations and confirmation from my discussions with Mike Latham. YMMV, of course.

shoot.... now i gotta order another knife. those eye brands really have a certain kinda somethin' going on.

thanks for the e-mail greg. :D

An old stockman pattern (from the 40's) that you don't see often. An orginal Cargill built Cripple Creek Butterbean Stockman from 1986.

Not a stockman, but a precursor, a cattle knife by Hibbard Spencer & Bartlett. I hope this is permissible?

I picked this one up at a flea market a few years back. Seems like it was made for Ingersoll Rand. An AJ Foyt Limited Edition Commemortive 25 years at Indy. Serial#10781 This folder is solid and has a lot of character.

Fantastic knives here! I tried to shoot some pics with my I-phone on my Stockman from Jeff Claiborne. Back springs are made of 1095 spring steel. blades are forged 52100 ball bearing steel. Blade bushings are bronze oil lite.

markksr..
Oh man -that is a hell of a nice knife, I know this as.... MINE HAS JUST ARRIVED TODAY!!

It sure is! Even considering the few knives I have bought since that one, the Cattle King continues to find it's way into my pocket pretty often. For me, it's darn near perfect.

Carry yours well. :)

i just realized all my stockmen are case. the one one the far left is only 2 5/8" 6333 SS. i've never carried it
