Hello blade forum members ! I received an empty package today , possibly usps loss or ??? I was supposed to have a Rod Olson unique little timascus scaled piece but the package got to me empty , be on a look out please!!

This should probably be in GBU.

I know you bought this on the exchange, did you contact the guy you bought it from? Did you pay with Paypal goods?
 
Did you acquire it here?
If so, have you contacted the mods?
What was the other persons name?
 
Purchase??? Trade???

Ouch.. that's a gorgeous looking knife. One of a kind I'm sure.. best of luck with your finding it!
 
Did you pick this knife up in person, or was it shipped overnight (with him dropping it in the post office after 11p.m.)
It hasn't even been 24 hours since he posted the sales thread.

How did you have an empty box already?
 
I'm talking with the guy he's a nice gentleman, we know each other from instagram, but I asked him to post here to be on the safe side , and we did a day later I paid net PayPal , we think it's usps .I don't know , what happened? Have had lots of transactions not just on bf , this is my first with bad luck !!! Thanks for reading

So, you didn't even give the guy a shot to correct any issues?
You received an empty box within 24 hours of the knife being listed for sale and have been talking with him (and him being a "nice gentleman") and this thread is just tossed up prior to anything bring worked out amongst yourselves?

There are a bunch if things not quite adding up...
 
I gave the guy a shot to correct this issue and have nothing against him. I didn't mention that I suspect him of this ! I just started this post , so if the knife pops up here , nice gentleman like yourself would let me know!

I am not really following. Maybe I am slow but I think the OP should be more clear in the chronology and story. Was this the same knife you bought yesterday? Was the package damaged or opened? Not following.
 
I'm talking with the guy and he filed a claim for this, just want people to be cautious if the knife ends up here or usn or any other forum , thanks

Ok, so this is what I am gathering:
You:
- were in contact with someone to buy a knife and used this place to facilitate said sale.
- sale thread was posted at 10:50ish P.M.
- less than 24 hours later, you receive an empty box
- you do not initially suspect he had an involvement with the missing knife
- you are giving us a heads up that if it does pop up here, it is stolen goods
- you are in contact with the seller to figure out what happened
- said knife (pictured above) is still unaccounted for.



Has the seller:
- Issued you a refund?
- contacted the post office/shipping company?
- has he done Anything aside from talk a good game?
- Explained how he can drop a box in the mail after 11p.m. and have you receive the box in under 24 hours?

Anyone else want to know how to get your boxes within 24 hours of a purchase? This will cost me plenty when it comes to instant gratification...
 
I'm on instagram with him been chatting for a couple months , has a few good ones for sale , people I know , know him too! So I made the deal on instagram a day earlier and asked him if he's on bf and could post there and I'll post I I'll take it! Just to be on the safer side of things , and advised the gentleman to post here from now and sell quicker and safer, that's what happened! I made this post again to recover the knife or try at least if eventually pops up here on forums

I know how to loose too, I'm not crying about loosing this piece or , blaming anybody for this , just need help from members to look out for it if they run into to the knife somewhere .Sorry texting while driving misspelling stuff !

Maybe we're both slow?? Because I am lost.
 
I think my summarization was close to the bullseye, aside from the deal initially being struck on instagram.
