Yeah...stealing from a charity is pretty low. The Ruby is a pretty impressive heist though, hope the guy who got it screws up.

Mods., please post here the charity that these knives were going to benefit. I would be willing to go to their website, or mail them a contribution. I am certain others will do the same.

We won't be doing that without Spark's approval. It's a great gesture on your part though. You could look at the top and bottom blades in the first picture <cough cough>.

Here's the thing...Shot Show...thousands of vendors, millions of dollars of merchandise and prototypes, thousands of people to pickpocket. If the thief of these knives wanted a user, he would have stolen something else. These knives were meant to be collection pieces for charity. Having stolen them, he now cannot display them or he will be caught. He did not steal these as users or for bragging rights, so the only option left is to resell them. Hopefully the future buyers alert KAI, at the least.

Standing by.

The really isn't any harm in mentioning the charity but we can't do is start any kind of coordinated donation drive without Spark's approval. If you look at the top and bottom blades you'll see Red Circle Foundation.

I saw it after you mentioned, and edited my post accordingly. I think that my donation, however meager, will be appreciated by them, but pales by comparison to what this auction would have brought. Perhaps Spark will agree that this is something worth doing. Still standing by.

Those ZT knife stand out with the laser etched charity. If these end up back in the market, I bet they will be "pimped" to remove these markings.

I didn't get a good look with the Ruby. Was there a unique mark or serial# that makes it stand out? I can totally see the Ruby show up here in the exchange or USN in original, no box, could condition.

Disgusting. Hope they gloat to the wrong person and get popped a good one. Then the knives get returned. Is there any legal action that could be taken against them? Besides petty theft of course.

I hope Karma serves the people who stole these well.

I saw something similar.

Friday afternoon at day's end I was sitting in the hallway outside one of the halls. I saw one of the workman, there to strike one of the big displays, come frantically running out of the hall. Turns out someone had stolen his entire work kit. He hadn't even unpacked yet. Someone just rolled it out of the hall along with the crush of people leaving.

Unbelievable.

Thanks for the support on this...Much appreciated.

It looks like this online auction is still active. Will this despicable thievery prevent this from going forward, or will you guys be able to replace the knives in the packages? The reason that I ask is that this looks like this is completely worthy charity, worthy of our support, especially if the auction is disrupted and cannot complete.
