Ya I know they're all gone. Seconary market only. What was the street price on the

Para 2 CST-20CP when they came out ?

I gave $140 for mine from Knifecenter. I really don't care for the color of the G10, so I'm thinking about buying another black one and swapping blades. Think there's any market for a light gray S30V Frankenspyder? :)
 
I have to be honest, I love gray and I was excited when the 2011 catalog first came out but it's quite a bit lighter than than the little picture shows and lighter than I would prefer as far as showing prints. I somehow stained mine within 1 minuted of opening it. A darker gray would have been much more desirable, IMO.
 
Just dye the G10 with black RIT, don't use as much as you would for a complete color change. It's going to void the warranty, but it would be darker.
 
Since a knife can be dyed without disassembly why would the warranty be void? Has someone been turned down for warranty work because they dyed their knife?

Modification of the appearance I would think. I'm sure that using Rit @ 50% would turn it the desired color. Personally, I like the "Arctic Gray"
 
I thought I was going to dislike the grey, it quickly grew on me, even though it's a bit dirty from 2 days of use, i was initially planning on switching out the camo scales on my other para 2, but I think I'll hold off for now
 
I paid $161 and change plus shipping from a seller in ebay and I dunno if the knife will ever get here or of it will be the right one. I checked feedback too late. The seller has a ton of negative feedback. He had 5 grey paras and they were selling just as I was watching so I pulled the trigger.

The Grey appears light enough that the G10 might take a very nice Orange color with RIT dye...

Just sayin :)
 
I paid $160 plus shipping for both of mine. One from eBay, the other from a dealer. They're both the smoothest I have had so far.
 
They are already bring 200+ on the bay. Chalk it up to another Spyderco I will not own:) Personally, when a sprint starts costing 250+ I'll save my money and get something that I'm not being scalped for at that point. I've seen the S90V para2 go for 330ish... 400 could get you one of the super steel SNG. YMMV

One of the para2 s90v sprint knives went for $399 on the bay. It really amazes me what some people will pay. :eek:

A lot of people who were able to get it at the pre-order price will happily tell you that it's worth it at that price. ;)

That is a good point I overlooked. I guess I'm just a little salty, but on a serious note, congrats to those who scored an awesome knife. :thumbup:
