Street Price of the Para 2 cst-20cp

I absolutely agree. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with the "system" as it is now. I have gotten every sprint that I wanted just by keeping my eyes peeled.

And when I goof, I get creative. I prefer the open market system. I don't need someone else rigging the market to "look out for my best interests." I'll do that myself, thanks. ;)

I tried to buy from an ebay seller named Belote. A month after I paid for it, seller still couldn't provide valid proof of shipping. Good thing ebay is excellent at protecting their buyers and I got my refund. I really thought I had snagged one already. :(

This has sparked my interest. I bought my first Para 2 from Belote and didn't have any problems. I'll have to check them out again before I buy anything from them.

When I checked out his negative feedback, I noticed a trend of bad service to out of USA buyers. Most of the feedback say that item wasn't shipped or the item sent was not as described. He does have a ton of positive feedback from buyers in the US.

Well, I'm in the continental US, I guess I just am in the minority. I sure wouldn't buy from him again, he took my money and ran.

There is absolutely no system that can't be evaded, rigged, whatever. Profit-making has been around since before humans invented money...

I don't think that there is anything wrong with Spyderco's current Sprint Run system, I just think that the popularity of the Paramilitary 2 justifies larger sprint runs in the future. It's possible that sprints of 800-1,000 could remedy some of the issues people are having with the 600 unit sprints. I think that the guaranteed popularity of a coyote brown g-10, blaze orange g-10, CPM M4 or an Integral Titanium Para 2 would more than justify higher numbers in the sprint run.

I started this thread to find out what the street price of the Para 2 cst-20cp is. I didn't except it to go on for 4 pages +:);)

Quick search on e-bay returned from $190 to $226 sold within last week. If somebody knows where can somebody buy at better price, that price is a street price, other wise it is $190+.
But thing can always change, nobody knows which way

I think another shipment went out recently. My 7 month old pre-orders just came through. :) Yay!

I just got that email this morning, too. I had given up on getting one of these, and actually had a pretty bad taste in my mouth from seeing them sell for $250 here and on eBay. But it seemed to have worked out after all, hell yeah.

It seems as though the 20CP P2 sprints are still dribbling out to the dealers. So at least "some" more pre-orders are likely to get filled, at great prices for some lucky people who, unlike me, got their orders in fairly early in the process.

When I see some people posting that they got their 20CP P2 for ~$135 plus shipping or something close to that, I get a little annoyed that I had to pay ~$170 shipped for mine. Then I remember how great the knife is and that I'm going to be enjoying this knife (hopefully) for many years to come and suddenly the $30 or $40 more (than many did) that I had to pay to get one seems kind of insignificant.

And I wouldn't be surprised if many of the people who had to pay ~$200 or so to get one probably feel much the same way. The knife is simply worth it over the long run for those who have a sufficiently substantial appreciation for the design and the steel.

I paid 180 shipped and insured today for mine. Found it in stock at that! I'm a happy camper :D

I bought a 20cp from the same guy for 161.00 with no problems then a week or so later he was asking 229.00 or something like that

Similar knife, similar story, similar conclusion. Bought one of the S90V P2s for ~$180. Liked it well enough that I wanted a spare, so when a dealer in UT had some at ~$240, I bought another. Do I feel badly about that? Not at all.

Avoid this seller at all costs, one of the biggest crooks on ebay!I'm glad you got your money back.:)

I picked one up for $180 including shipping and insurance, straight from a dealer. Did I feel its worth the price? Eh. Maybe. I'll be doing business with the dealer again, I emailed them about it and they set it aside for me. For a first time buyer from them, I think they're now my go to dealer for sprints ;)

IMO it will be completely worth it if the pivot on the one I get is good. I may just have to take it apart and file the bushing down some myself.

In reality, it should be easy to use a micrometer and check the blade with, then lap the pivot bushing down to the same width. If done right I see no reason it wouldn't end up just as smooth as a Sebenza. I don't have one to look at right now so I don't know if you would want it the width of just the blade or the blade + washers to make it flush. I've heard of some pivots having a burr on them and that causing rough opening also. The warranty isn't really good for anything other than store credit from what people have said due to the nature of the sprint so what is there to loose. If too much was taken off it would be just like my original para2 that I could overtighten.

@SSBlood: If you take one apart to lap the pivot bushing, it would be great if you could post a few photo's illustrating the process for those who don't know what they're doing (like me).
