To be fair, the point he is making is about misrepresentation. This whole thread is about misrepresentation and misconduct by DD. To say that suspecting misrepresentation is innappropriate is sort of silly at this point, isn't it?

That is my only gripe with this process as well. unknown posters, or known posters posing as unknowns to have this discussion is itself a misrepresentation.

Several people are very up front about who they are. I appreciate that.

Also, the scans did not post. Lance, I appreciate you being willing to demonstrate the openess you are simply requesting from others. It does demonstrate good faith IMO. Did you also post your DD214?

I get what you are saying. But just because ITOG had a Cali mailing address does not mean much. Colt makes lots of guns that they can not sell to folks in Conn, so where the HQ is located really means nothing.

And Im no ones troll account. Ive lurked here for awhile but never posted till now. If you know the folks being discussed in this thread, how many of even know who Sid Birt was, what his collaborations with Harv Hilderbrand looked like, What his Neighbor across the holler Glen McClain makes.

Sorry Luke, I should have snipped my quote. I was pointing at the challenging of RVNVET's intentions by Micky. I have no knowledgable input about the business entity issue. In fact, i have little knowledgable input about a lot of things. LOL.
 
I really don't care who is posting what for what reason, as long as what is being posted is verifiable by proper entities. I will make my own decisions based on facts, not who relayed them to me.
 
But will you ever have the real facts if you don't file the FOIA paperwork yourself?
This is the internet. Not real life.

This whole thread is a court of public opinion. No real facts here. A lot of people have already decided their opinion about DD. No one applied the same scrutiny to others making the accusation.

Ed is a hell of a guy and I think he is peachy.

In fairness, I think Lance is attempting to post scans of his reference letters to demonstrate good faith. But will that just trigger a round of accusations that he typed them and signed them himself? If DD posted anything, would it trigger a new round of accusations?



I don't think anthing will come of this thread. It drew out the same people. I do not think anyone has "converted" as a result of either sides posting. i think a lot of it is just babbeling to make sure it stays on the front page.
Why not sticky it? I suspect the posts would dwindle off.

I also think intent is misrepresented.
This isn't about truth. Some want their name resotered. Some want to see sanctions and penalties. Others have fromed a decision and will follow the buying practices that meet their ethical/ moral guidelines. That may even be backward in a few cases. For example, I might think that the marketing was hype, but buy an SNG because I think it was poor form to post childrens names and addressed in this process. (The incident here was an accident and SPARK removed it quickyl, but it is not the first time it has come up)

I don't think so. The story will be retold and disseminated with spin, whatever the outcome.

Ultimately, it is you that will decide how to spend your consumer dollar.

If you believe that misrepresentation occurred, ultimately, you will have to decide how to treat him if and when you are in a room together. Respect, indiference, hostility, or somewhere olong the line.

In my work, I deal with misrepresentation of military history frequently. I have never felt the need to shout from the rooftops. I have also been very embarrased once when it turned out to be truth.

All the drama in this thread is entertaining in a reality t.v. sort of way, and probably just about as productive.

Has anybody REALLY been swayed to buy or not to buy one knife or another because of this thread? I highly doubt it. :rolleyes:

If you read through the strider forum archives here there is mention of getting an attorney and litiigation on more than one occassion by some of the "names" involved.

None has happened, yet.......................

What is funny is that when I was lurking around this time last year vthere was soe mega-ass thread where a few posters were wondering if Dwyer might also be a fraud like his partner and got shut down.

FYI, The State of Indiana does NOT have a POST. Their equivalent is: Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board.

Am I to undersatand that you changed the wording on the announcement, from: (Read: POST) to Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board. Did you change the wording after it was learned that Indiana did not have a POST?

In any event, the majority if not all of this thread concerns Law Enforcement Agencies, Military Reservations and Associations, private entities and individuals in California. Although, there are many individual people who have been lied to and duked throughout the nation.

If there was fraud committed in Indiana perhaps you should look into it.
 
No i didnt change any wording. The email was also posted by IIRC Duane himself on tactical forums. You can find it there in the archives if you wish to check my facts.
