Strider Knives

For the most part Striders are fairly ergonomic. The hot spot is at the back of the knife where the corner can dig into your palm.
What I like about the SNG/SMF design is the versatility. You have many different grip positions. Also many different deployment
options. Its the perfect knife to use with gloves on duty. And Strider backs their knives with one of the best warranties out there.
If you can break it they'll fix it.

Seconded haha.

I guess you and I are the only 2 that do not know the details. I honestly have no clue what politics or fraud or whatever took place. I would like to know but missed this some way. If it was bad enough I suppose I wouldnt support them either. Maybe this is in regards to the "whether the strider guys were in Military" but I never realized it was verified to be true or proved to be false. Maybe I missed a confession about this.

I just sold my Strider SMF CC, it's a great knife with very good ergos. The only problem I have with the one I sold is that it was too boring being all stonewashed. :D

See, THIS is what brings balance to the knife universe...I just ordered a new SW'd Blade & Ti framelock SMF (w/new Gen 7(?) lockup) because I'm surrounded my friends that have nothing but Strider's with coated blades and flamed Ti. Just imagine if we all wanted the exact same thing. :D

I wouldn't mind owning an SnG or SMF (I actually think they look pretty sick). But I can't see myself throwing down that kind of money on a folder.....yet.

Never cared for the PT, SNG, SMF, but I reall like the SJ75. I think Strider is doing great things with the new design.

That full sized SJ75 is sweet looking.

From what I've read and heard Strider has changed the angle on their folders blade tang since the SJ75 and it now has no curvature/radius and this is to eliminate blade play AND their F&F is supposed (I'll know tomorrow) to be much improved as well. I know that my last three ZT's (0551, 0300 & 0560) have been incredible so hopefully my good luck streak will continue with the SMF as well.

I'm amazed. Stonewashed Tanto goodness :D

Love the SW Tanto, I was trying to find that setup (Tanto SW Blade and Ti) in the SMF and couldn't find one but then I'm sure i'll be just fine with the drop point.

OK, to sum up the thread for those with time constraints...

Striders: some like 'em, some don't!

I've got 4 now, (Striders). Three are 2012 models and those were all perfect, I got an AR brand new, not sure when it was made I think 2011 it's got old lockup but it's rock solid, no fit & fin issues. I've heard the old ones had issues but I haven't experienced that. I used to think they were ugly, but now they are the only knife I want. I love the way the SMF feels in my hand, they are tough. I look at Chris Reeve knives and I don't get it. I'm just not interested. Hinderers look pretty good so I got a couple ZT 0560-61 since I think $900 is just over the top. $550 is crazy too but I did it not once but twice w/Strider DGG and AR, the others were $400 each new on the bay.

All normal people are under time constraints. If the OP had done a simple search he would have found multiple threads on this topic which has been covered exhaustively over the years. It just goes round and round, like a dog chasing its tail, there is no correct answer.

Sorry, didn't know we were under time constraints...
