Don't know if it'd supplant my ZT 0300 or Benchmade Skirmish, but all things being equal it'd give them a run for their money. Ah hell; made an exception for the smallish length of the ZT blade so why not.

How does it slice? Kinda curious to see how the grind does compared to a FFG.

Slices a lot better I think, I cut through cardboard with it about 100 times after I shapened it (320 Grit EP matching the factory edge) and it was still sharp enough to slice paper. I think I like that agressive edge on this one, it's a cutting little SOB.

Yeah it cuts very well, 3V is agressive.

If your arm hasn't fallin off yet ,,,,,are you gonna put this blade to the test and see what catagory it falls in ?

It's too thick to test as the starting pressure was to high for the rope, around 18 LBS or so, the blade would have to be reground to do it I think.

It does slice through cardboard very well though and it holds an edge so I am happy.

Hard use folder a. I don't own any cpm 3v , would u likin it to infi ?

Yeah, but it does slice well, CPM 3V is more agressive than INFI.

Photo after sharpening and cutting cardboard.

Btw , been using the poop out of my 0551 its doing a great job . I now would say it could fall in the bottom of the catagory wich has xhp and zdp in it or the top of spyderco s30 category in my uses anyways.

Yeah good luck not getting one. :D

Thats one of the best looking striders ive seen. Where would you rank 3v among the top performing steels like s90v, etc.

I think It would be below those, but around S30V range, maybe better from the way it cut today, that's just guessing based on how it performed on cardboard.

I want a strider so bad, but I have no clue how to go about getting one. I have never seen a site that carries them. :(

BTW, great photos as always and awesome knife! That is the best looking strider I've ever seen.

IMO it's a better steel than INFI, atleast in my experience with both. That said, they're both great.

Jim, what did that run you? I love my SMF, am considering other options.
