This is good point.
I also think the OP handles himself with a great attitude in this tread, I'd like more level headed guys like this.

It looks to me that the leaver is no more in the way then a pocket clip, when its locked open, it seems to go into the handle.
 
Good, inexpensive test for a lock you trust is to put blade in vise and hang from the handle. This is best done from at least 3 stories.high. ;)
 
Been thinking FFK. You keep incessantly selling the idea that you make the strongest folder. So. It must be stronger than Cold Steels products. And you keep incessantly complaining about how expensive the testing would be to prove how strong it is.

Time for some Cold Steel type stabbing tests. Those are cheap. All we have seen is you gingerly stick the thing 1/32 of an inch into a wood deck.

Time to put up or shut up, if you ask me.
 
FFG, I held off until I watched your video a few times.

1. Why carry a folder on your hip? If I'm carrying a knife that big it's going to be a fixed blade that's thicker and beafy.
2. The lock in no way makes it "fixed blade capable". What does that even mean? Also, why try to make a folder into a fixed blade, why not just make a fixed blade?
3. Test it out if you want cred, it's the only way

1. Many people still do carry folders/multitools on their hip.
2. The FFK lock directly mates the blade tang and handle tang together. Current folders use washers or bushings that by
default require some clearance even when their blades is locked open. I think it's relevant to carry large fixed blade capability
on your hip like a multitool.

Two weeks to go stab something or throw it into a tree Demko style? It only took a couple days for you to come up with a new video a coulle days ago.
 
Oh, ans whats with the "Knife Maker" title you sem to have given yourself? You dont appear to have a knife maker membership.

I asked about Cold Steel in the first thread... personally I'd like to see a vid showing that this cam lock is stronger than the Tri-Ad. I know the Tri-Ad is ridiculously overbuilt, but from the Cold Steel videos, one thing you can say is that sucker is as strong as they say it is.

Bushing are not a weakness on current folders. Show me ONE example where a bushing was the cause of a failure in a folding knife.

Large fixed blade capability? I'll ignore your obvious trademark statement (guess not), but now you're taking it too far. If you think for a second that your little roboknife can run against my TGLB, you've taken leave of your senses.

Precisely. I have seen vids of Demko beating that TriAd lock like it was a rented mule. Guy makes a claim and backs it up. If this FFK is stronger...lets see it. Time to back up those "strongest folder" claims you have been ramming down our throats with some proof. Lets see some abuse. Lets see how confident you are in your lock. Time to put your fingers where your mouth is, as it were.

Heck, I'll pay for a brand new Cold Steel and ship it out to FFK for comparative testing. ;)

He has indeed purchased the knifemaker membership, but he needs to update his usergroup as instructed.
Lets keep this topic on track and discuss it, instead of arguing unrelated points.
