Come on guys, when are you just gonna realize that this IS the strongest folding knife in the world. Sure that little folding tab might dig a huge blister into your hand after minimal use but who cares. Who cares if it's cumbersome and takes 20mins to open. IT'S THE STRONGEST FOLDER IN DA WORLD!

BTW guys I think I have a new folder design that give this one a run for it's money for strongest folder. The top hole in the handle will have a pin in it that will go through the vise on both sides.

Here it is in the open position:

Meh, I bet that thing has all kinds of rocklock.

LOL

I like it but it doesn't seem conducive to pocket carry. Feels like it would be too cumbersome honestly.

The only folder that can truly be considered a fixed blade the mighty Jarbenza. Need I say anymore !

I'm thinking the main person on the account is probably a teenager and his uncle or someone made the knife.

I think this may be the case? The poster is translating for the person who designed the knife, Oh I mean this locking system?

I will say that this have been very entertaining and i am looking at this as out right funny!

Mike,
Oly Oly Ox in free! Come out! Come OUT wherever you are! Game over!

Everything is a give an take man. The 50lb vise just adds to the rigidity of the design. I'll probably streamline the final version down a little bit.

I would go out back and stab it into my wooden deck but this is just a prototype and I don't want to break it.

I understand your reluctance.

Will there be a variety of sheath options offered?

I do have one other question, many hear seem to think that you are a knife maker.

Have you ever made a knife from start to finish with your own two hands? Or have you just done some puter work and then paid to have some lab build it for you?

Well he has paid for that level of membership, and claims to be so in his title.

I think the aim of his question is to draw attention to the fact that most of what FFK has posted speaks to both a lack of understanding of knife-making, as well as a lack of experience making any actual knives.

Quiet,
I'm glad we're discussing the possibility that folding knife strength can be improved. Beyond blade and handle shape nothing has changed.
Folding knife locks in general concentrate on only spine strength. I don't even think they address strength from the cutting edge direction, let alone lateral strength.

You're still on lateral strength?

Lock back. Axis lock.

Those are two types of locks that are not bothered by lateral stresses.

And a sheath!

You guys got me thinking now. A pocket clip and sheath "is relevant." I actually don't like my design and think I'm gonna design it the way you said. I might leave a little bit of the blade sticking out of the handle though so you can slash yourself open and need stitches. After all it would be good to have a nice gash to go along with the blister you'd get from deploying the knife. It takes a tough person to handle the "STRONGEST FOLDING KNIFE II." (That's my name for it BTW)
