Strongest folding knife !

Real simple.....Scenerio, 2 guys are dropped off in the middle of nowhere with 2 folders..... one guy has a sturdy lockback folder(you pick the brand) and the other has an FFK. The FFK will have Fixed Blade Capability, the lockback will not. Any Questions ?

Yes, my question is, why are you advertising your product on this site without having paid for a membership? No one wants your janky, homebrew busted looking knife, so take it and eff off already, eh?

I'M NOT SAYING IT WILL BEAT A FIXED BLADE KNIFE OF COMPARABLE SIZE.....WHAT I AM SAYING IS THAT IT WILL GIVE THE USER A FOLDING KNIFE THAT WHEN DEPLOYED WILL PERFORM MOST TASKS THAT WOULD ONLY BE EXPECTED FROM A FIXED BLADE KNIFE.

"Fixed Blade Capability that carry's like a folder"

Okay. That makes more sense. However, there are already a number of folding knives on the market that meet that general criteria... so sadly the FFK is not unique, save that its particular "locking mechanism" is somewhat different.

That said, best of luck to you getting it into production.

If you have any testing videos (particularly of important things like how well it slices, cuts, sharpens and holds an edge, all things much more important than the lock) I'd be interested in taking a look.

Valid question.

One that more people should be asking this guy, honestly. FFK here comes in to hawk his product, which flies in the face of every knifemaker on this board who has paid for a membership so they can do what FFK here is doing. On top of that, the product he's hawking, is bulky looking, which pretty much flies in the face of why someone would carry a folding knife over a fixed blade anyway. Hmmmm...this slim fixed blade, or this bulky pocket-filling monster that claims to have all the capabilities of a fixed blade? I know which one I'd pick, and it's not this guy's homemade wonder.

Anyway, I expect a moderator will be along shortly to lock this farce.

I expect you're right. Somehow though, I hope we squeeze a few more posts in. I don't know why.

I invented the FFK and received a patent for it's locking mechanism last year. I am still developing it. I am on this forum to get qualified unfiltered feedback on it. I appreciate and respect your comments, even though they are a-bit colorful.

Frankly, your knife doesn't do anything that other "omg folders with locks so strong it makes them a fixed blade!" don't do. Additionally, again, you soliciting feedback amounts to the same thing as generating interest in a product. And that's something that people pay to be allowed to do on this forum. I would suggest that you seek a knifemaker's subscription.

Whenever I am out in the woods and want to carry two knives one is often folding and one is often a fixed blade. The folder tends to be precise like an Opinel or SAK for doing tasks a more robust fixed blade cannot. Respectfully, I avoid all folders claiming to be anything but folders.

I don't think you know exactly how this mechanism works. In particular, the abundant tang lockup surface geometry is a first. No folding knife locks up like this !
Please take the time to revisit the video on YouTube. Keep in mind that it's still a prototype.

Well said.....I'd probably do the same.... until I invented the FFK. Now things have changed.

I am not interested in giving you views on Youtube, sorry. I don't care how your mechanism works. It's the answer to a question that people aren't asking. There are countless folding knives on the market today that will more than stand up to the stresses of anything you'd use a knife for. So, here you are, the inventor of a knife with a special locking mechanism that's supposed to turn a multiple piece item into something strong enough to...what, exactly? Be used as a prybar? A chin-up bar? Some other use that most people will never use a knife for?

Let us know when you come up with a working lightsaber or something else that, you know, hasn't already been done.

Really? Than how come you didn't ask for that feedback when you opened the thread? How come, instead of doing that, you just made outlandish claims about the knife? How come, instead of asking for feedback on your knife, you made no claims that you had anything to do with it until you were called out?

RedLynx noted how he would like to see more posts from you. I agree. Nothing is better than seeing someone attempting to get free advertising only to have the whole thing blow up in their face.

The design has been panned, and the character of your underhanded attempt to scam some free advertising was clear to everybody.

Didn't work well, did it?

Qualified feedback on my design is all I'm after on this forum.....nothing more. Clear ?

Come back when you're a paid knifemaker, clear? Until then, you're simply soliciting interest in your product without having paid for the privilege of doing so.

Agreed......a fixed blade knife is the best choice if possible. But if it's not I want the next best thing..........FFK
