Sub-hilt Fighter Progression

It must get really tough now when down to the fine detail work knowing that one slip or mis-calculation and the project could turn ugly in a hurry.

These WIP, show you guys are very deserving and work hard for the money you receive.

watching you make that knife really makes me desire power tools.
I don't deserve them yet, but hopefully some day:)

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to give everyone an update on the knife. I have been working like crazy on the Sub-hilt, hand sanding and such like I showed in the last video. Also I missed a day of work yesterday because of a graduation ceremony for a couple of my friends and I.

I should have a video Tuesday.

Congratulations on your graduation!

Do you plan to attend college, and if so, where might I ask?

Nothing wrong with the "University of Knifemaking". ;)

There's plenty of fine Professors out there willing to share their knowledge in helping a young student along. :)

Some business classes may help you bring balance to your desire to make this a long-term viable business.

what he said. I would and will when i meet you at Blade try to convince you to at least try to go to a two year school and get some more education. and education is one thing that can never be taken from you.

I think that taking some machine shop classes would be a great asset to your future as a knife maker, especially as you get into folders.

Is the one posted in the latest video a slip-joint or a linerlock?

Another Great vid. Awesome!!

I may have to go a page or two back as I may have missed a vid. ;)

I was taken to task just a little off-line by a friend and fellow forumite as to if in my above post I was minimizing the importance of a college education.

Just in case others took it that way, I was surly not. One of my daughters has her masters and another starts Law School on Aug. 17th, so I definitely respect, appreciate and value higher education.

I was just jokingly pointing out that four years of college is not necessarily the answer for everyone and giving Kyle a  and wishing him godspeed in his decision. I'm sure Kyle's love of making knives and his incredible god given talent weighted heavy in his decision to move full speed ahead in his knifemaking career.
