Not going to college is a HUGE decision, and one with potential repercussions that are often not realized for some time. There is no question in my mind that going to college opens up the possibility for opportunities that might not otherwise exist, but...college is not for everyone. And going back to school later in life when you have a family to support and other obligations can be a lot more difficult than it is when you are 18. Been there, tried that.
All that said, nobody can decide that someone else should go to college; it is up to the individual. What I can pretty much guarantee is that if Kyle chooses to not go to school now and is going to forge ahead
p) with knifemaking, he will be giving a 110% effort. As talented as he is, he will still need to put forth a Heculean effort to realize his potential, and we should support his choice even though it might not be our own. We all do want him to succeed, but how that is achieved is up to him.
