"LOL *sigh*
And i take it that the video your referring to is the "Doggorunning"(?) guy? Did you catch how he completely mis-diagnoses what went 'wrong'?
(Gosh, and people say the "hockey-mask" Noss is a buffoon )"
A knife that large, heavy, and does not excel in the cutting area should at the least be a good knife to batton with. I mean why is the knife so big? Heavy? if not to withstand more demanding task. The video showed a knife that did not necessarily fail but developed a defect after a basic survival task. Now dont confuse this task with bushcraft, or weather or not buttoning is necessary or the best way to split wood. The knife is advertised as a survival knife and a pilot one at that. Currently in our military in survival school battoning is taught, so you would assume a knife thats advertised as a pilot survival knife would be able to batton. Also the knife being so large and heavy a pilot would be more likely to get caught us in his wreckage wearing this thing on his leg. The large heavy pommel is almost comicish supposedly used to be a plex breaker. Military aircraft have egress hatches their's no need for it. People love defending their purchase; Gerbers advertising on this product make those that wield it feel as though they have super powers. This knife is crap and those that think they are Thor ruler of the universe may love it. For the rest of us that fly, and supply our pilots with the tools of war will require that companies provide accurate descriptions and live up to the claims they make.
I find Nosses videos fun and I learn something from all his videos, they might not address what I'm interested in but he really test a knives limits
