Were the Survive! "Seconds" actually marked in any way to clearly identify them as having been sold as flawed \ seconds? Like Spyderco does with its Factory Seconds.

I really, sincerely hope that he is, because anyone seeing this thread and genuinely planning to hand Survive $7000 at minimum after reading even a fraction of it has the survival instincts of a drunk squirrel on the highway.

I do yes. You've been posting on average 7 posts a day for almost 10 years, for you to tell me to post less (or not at all) was a real moment of reflection for me.

I've seen the damning accusations about Survive and their factory 2cds. That doesn't remove the premise that people generally pay less for them when you're reselling them. At least in most cases, it doesn't exactly seem to be the case often with second-hand Survive knives. Could be word got out that they're not seconds- 99% of the adds I've seen for them say the owner can't find anything wrong with them.

It's almost as amusing as you attempting to say that someone posts here too much. Yeah, when you're here to participate in a community that supports your favorite hobby, that happens. You got it dude. I'm not surprised or butt-hurt over the entirely expected reception, and not offended in the least.
I would be lying if I said I don't like Guy and Ellie, I understand that's going to piss people off but I'm also not going to be coy about it. I also really like their knives and had a good experience with them. I had an order come in under 7 months and it looks like they're finally starting to push a lot of knives out according to their social media. Statistically, it won't happen if you consider all the previous "we've changed" speels. I'm hoping they do though for people waiting on their knives and myself wanting to pick up a few more.

I know you’re intent on making everything about your BladeForums experience “personal”, but just because people post in the same topics as you doesn’t mean they’re out to chase you around. I tried to be indirect about my remark on insults but if I’m being honest, it gets old seeing the same old emotionally-charged personal attacks from you against other members.

I hope you correct your etiquette “azimuth” at some point, but in the mean time I would just ask that you possibly dial back on the ad hominem attacks. It really distracts from the main point.

If you've read up on survive you'd know that "factory 2nd" means nothing other than it was a knife paid for and meant to go to the original buyer, but survive needed the money again so the sold it for a second time to a new buyer (who then also waited years). Also, it isn't a second in that they still don't have the knife when they sold it the second time. They have admitted to pre selling seconds before they even know they will have any seconds since they don't have any "firsts" yet either. It is a scam. Time to stop shilling for them.

There have been multiple reports (perhaps even in this thread) where people get their 2nd and can't find any issues at all.

Sure, that's not a direct comparison, but a "2nd" is sold as a flawed item. Kind of weird that multiple people recieve a "flawed" knife without flaws.

And it's even weirder that you can pre-order a 2nd. Makes it seem that the existence of 2nds is actually intentional rather than items that just didn't make the cut.

Statistically certainly not relevant, but I can compare directly. While my first, like all others I own, is flawless, the second has non-symmetrical plunge lines. Yes, you have to look hard…. The sheath was a bit tight, I adjusted the screws a little, also not perfect because now it rattles a bit, but nothing to worry about when using it.

Every serious industrial production knows its approximate scrap figures, I would not hold selling seconds in advance against them…

When they are selling seconds on a run that has yet to ship to customers who have been waiting for months or years, it's a Ponzi scheme, plain and simple.

It's robbing Peter to pay Paul, and S?K has been playing that game for a long time.
