Hey Guys and Girls! Just wanted to take a second to introduce my latest offering, the EDC-4. Taking Ankerson's advice a few months ago, I decided to look into Elmax. Needless to say the performance was excellent so I pick up a few sheets. Thanks Ankerson, trying Elmax was a great decision. These knives are heat treated to 59-60Rc by Peter's heat treating, of Meadville, PA. The specs are as follows: OAL is 9", blade length of 4.25", blade thickness of 5/32", blade height of 1.25". The blades are skeletonized under the handles to improve balance. A new addition to my knife designs are my new custom 416 stainless fasteners. The same fastener will fit all of my models moving forward. They feature an oversized slot for easier handle removal, requiring no specialized tools. Also stop by my new website www.SurviveKnives.com take a look around, tell me what you think. Oh, forgot the best part. They are on sale now at the SURVIVE! website for only $165! Domestic ground shipping included. ;)

I have just gotten the EDC-4 and it looks like its gonna replace my Fallkniven S1 in my survival bag. I will carry both for the next week or two until I can confirm that the intial tests results are repeatable, but its looking good for the EDC-4. I'll chime back in when I have a final result.

I have been using my EDC4 for a few days now as well. Fantastic knife, I can't say enough good about it. The ergos are great. The blade geometry is spot on for most tasks. Fit and finish are top notch. If you haven't gotten one yet I would get over to Guy's site. These babies are going fast.

Nice knives!
Will a Tanto be offered?

I had not really considered a tanto but I'm a young company so I wouldn't rule anything out yet. I'll go any direction that demand takes me. I take all customer feedback into consideration.

I order one last night simply due to the Elmax. I am stoked to try it out. I am working hard to get myself down to just a few blades as I don't have the time to use the 10+ I have in the 4-5" range. This one should kick out my O1 and D2 knives from the inventory. I can't wait to see how well it holds an edge.

Here you go. This should give you an idea of what to expect as far as the ELMAX edge holding goes... Hope this will hold you over until your knife arrives. ;)

And I did promise to get plain old fashioned stupid in the previous videos... We'll have some CPM-3V blades back in stock in a few weeks, beginning with my GSO-5.1 model.

Those need to be on your site ASAP. The cutting the tree down and it still shaving is awesome. I can't wait to get this in my hands.

They're up Brother. They are in the SURVIVE! Newsfeed. The web developers have not shown me how to change the video on the home page. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I love it. I can't wait to start the GSO-5.1.

Here are some photos of a SURVIVE! EDC-4, next to some more well known knives. Pound for pound, apples to apples, I'll take the Pepsi challenge against anyone's knives.

Is the GSO10 going to be available on your site after the preorder and if it is what will the price be?

Yes, the GSO-10 will be a part of my regular line up after the preorder special. I am doing this crazy preorder special to get my name out there a little and just once to do something a little nuts. The regular price of a GSO-10 with a kydex sheath will be around $275. I'm really surprised by the response so far. In just one day we are already over half way to our preorder goal. It won't be long until the preorder sign up ends at this rate so if you want a really big chunk of CPM-3V at a steal of a price, get over to the SURVIVE website and get yourself signed up. This is a one time introductory offer of $160 for a production GSO-10. Yes, $160 for a huge 10" 3V chopper!

Thanks, I put in my preorder.. I'd like to know more about this GSO 5.1, maybe see pics and an idea on price? I was going to get my hands on a busse but with 3v and Elmax this cheap I'm going this route.. Please get back with me on this 5.1? Thanks!

Sure, no problem. I have the final specs for the GSO-5.1 all rendered up, so you can see the handle contours and everything. Everything for this model is currently in production, due to release in just a few weeks. When I get home, I'll update this reply post with some images. I'll enhance them a bit, with measurements drawn out. She is another, no nonsense, straight forward beauty of a workhorse knife.
