Also, what color is the handle in the 3rd pic over from the right? I'll also go ahead and order that knife..

That is our black canvas micarta. We media blast all the micarta for improved grip, which exposes the canvas threads, making it look more grey.

That 10 is going to make a hell of a splash in the chopper scene! I have mine ordered and after just telling my district partner about it, he wanted one also.

In the pics of the EDC4 can you tell me what color the 3rd from the left is? I would like to get that knife from your website.. Also, how do you log in on your website to access my shopping cart? Thanks again!

Sorry, I didn't think my previous post went through for some reason.. I found it after I posted this and apparently there's no way to delete.? I am still curious logging in on your site to access the shopping cart.. Thanks!

It looks like a very practical knife and I really like what you did with the black micarta! I'm a bowhunter and this EDC4 will be with me in the woods, I'll try to get a bloody pic of it on a deer for ya.. (if it arrives soon enough) ;)

Ok, it took me until this morning to find some time to sit down to put these images together. Here are my Solidworks screen grabs of the SURVIVE! GSO-5.1, that is currently in production. It will release in just a few short weeks. She is going to be another beauty. ;) Also, just to begin throwing some things out there. Did you know SURVIVE! is a company I started about 2 years ago and that the GSO moniker on most of my models stands for Guy Seiferd Original? The numbers stand for their approximate blade size, with the exception of the GSO-7/7, which is dedicated to my best friend, who was lost to us last year on 7/7. Now you know! A huge thanks to everyone who stops by, reads these posts and chooses to interact. YOU are the reason I get up in the morning, always wanting to improve my standard. For that I thank you!

What does this knife only weigh with Micarta ?
Well, funny enough I never thought to officially weigh my knives. lol. The knife is just a little too heavy for my reloading scale and doesn't weigh enough for the bathroom scale. Let me go find a triple beam scale today and I'll get back to you. I can tell you the EDC-4 micarta slabs and fasteners weigh right around 59-60grams. I believe the blade is about 8-9 ounces, making the whole package about 10-11 ounces but I'll get back to you once this is confirmed.

Got my pre-order in, this one should be good
This is one of those things a person should REALLY want to be involved in. For $160, domestic shipping included, people are getting a 3/16" thick CPM-3V chopper, that will be expertly heat treated by Peter's Heat Treat, with a triple temper and long soak cryo treatment, to 59-60Rc. CNC laser cut blanks, cnc contoured handles, precision machined 416 stainless fasteners, precision double disc surface grinding... These are an absolute steal. I'm so glad enough people are involved and signed up already that I can make this happen.

Good work!! Thanks for posting pics of the 5.1 that definitely looks like a knife I would be interested in owning.. I ordered the EDC4 last night and bow season opens up on saturday so I don't believe this one will make it for opening weekend, still a boat load of season ahead though.. Thanks again Guy!

My pleasure, honestly. I hope you love your new knife!

Here, what do you think of the final specs?

Very nice looking knives sir. I may have to pick one up and run it through the wringer :)

Thanks for the kind words, Jason. I believe that anyone who sees a knife as a tool to be picked up and used should be using one of my knives. I try to make each design as flexible in its applications as possible, while still retaining the enhanced functionality of what the knife was designed for. Similar to how every Marine has a particular skill set or MOS but is still always expected to be a proficient rifleman, no matter what their job is. The heart and soul of each SURVIVE! knife is utility. Which ever SURVIVE! model you decide on, I believe it will serve you well.

I received my EDC 4 in the mail today and I gotta tell you, this is the sharpest out of the box knife so far. I really like the media blast finish on the micarta handles, very nicely done! This is like I said before a VERY practical knife for real life use. The fit and finish is just amazing, this is a truly high quality knife for the dollar no doubt! I contacted Hedgehog Leatherworks to see if I could get one of their high quality leather sheaths for it but unfortunately that's a no go so it looks like kydex is the only way to go for now.. If you know of anyone that can make a sheath similar in quality to the Hedgehog sheaths I would appreciate it.. Thanks again Guy!!

check out martin swinkels beyond great sheaths but it takes a little but as he is world class and in demand....

Thanks for the direction Roland. This INSANELY SHARP edc4 needs a home. I already have ParaDex Tactical making me a kydex sheath but I would sure like to have a high end leather sheath for this beauty of a knife.

Got this one today and I LOVE IT
